We enjoyed the secluded location, the backyard, the patio and fire pit as well as the hot tub at night. Outside accommodations were awesome. The bed was not in the loft thank goodness.
The size of the property and height of the ceilings. Especially going into the bathroom. We're both tall... I'm 5'9" and he's almost 6'4" and we had to duck to go in bathroom. Tub was a waste of space. There is NOT a kitchen. Just a sink, microwave and small fridge. Don't plan to cook unless it's on the charcoal grill. The biggest problem was road construction exactly where the property is. It took us 30 minutes to go 9 miles to Fredericksburg. This was a BIG problem. I think we should have been given discount for this or decision to book elsewhere. It was that bad. We asked to check in 2 hours earlier than 4pm check in. Host quoted me $35 for early check in and sent me invoice for $83 with no explanation of charge difference. Lack of communication was a huge problem. They offered us another night at a discounted rate but we were not given notification of price until we had already left. I sent messages to the host and the host would obviously not have read my messages and would ask the same questions again. It was frustrating. Not to mention we were trying to have our phones off for our vacation. Overall it was not our best air bnb experience. I won't use Booking for this type of rental again.
