Excellent Stay and Great Guidance in Katra!
We stayed at Ashoka Residency from April 20th to 24th, 2026, and had a wonderful experience.
Dining: There is a small restaurant adjacent to the hotel that serves delicious local food. It was very convenient and the quality was excellent.
Service: The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. They went out of their way to guide us so we could make the most of our sightseeing.
Day 1: We visited the Vaishno Devi temple, which was a smooth experience thanks to the hotel's central location.
Day 2: The manager arranged a taxi for us with a very professional driver. We spent the day visiting local temples and the impressive Chenab Bridge.
Day 3: The manager helped us rent a scooter, which gave us the freedom to explore Patnitop, Nathatop, and Sanasar Lake at our own pace.
Day 4: We checked out early in the morning and moved on to Srinagar.
Overall, the personalized service and travel arrangements made our trip very easy. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Katra!

They are not trusting the Booking.com bookings, they informed on arrival that as well have not informed a day early so they couldn't give 3 rooms as requested but only 2. Their policy should have clearly mentioned that this ia what they want and one would have done so.
