Fantastic apartment, incredibly comfortable. well appointed and very well equipped, was a perfect home from home for us during our 4 night stay. Helen the owner was extremely friendly, helpful and a font of knowledge.
Heard a bit of road noise from the freeway and also the sound proofing not brilliant as we heard a fair bit of movement ( footsteps and furniture) from the upper floors during the evenings

This is a cozy apartment under a person's house. The decor is very cute. Location is nice--close to the freeway and hiking. The host was pleasant and offered extended checkout for the inconvenience of a nonfunctioning toilet, which was appreciated. The back yard is well-landscaped, but was under construction. The property would have been a good value for the area but for the major flaw.
The toilet barely flushed. It had extremely low water pressure and would require multiple flushes for even a tiny amount of toilet paper. This is such a major negative; it overwhelms the positives. Also, the lock on the front door does not work. If you choose to stay here, make sure the toilet situation is resolved because it creates stress when you're supposed to be on vacation.
