The Homestay is located in a village that is more remote and offers you a glimpse into the village life in the mountains. The Homestay has just opened, so all the facilities are new and really good. The rooms are comfortable: good beds, they smell of wood and have big windows. The food was good too & the WiFi works really well (I had two zoom calls and it worked perfectly!)
It is a remote location, so you should be aware of that.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay here, and it’s one of those places that stays with you long after you leave.
This homestay is run by a truly beautiful family — Bla, her husband Chai, and their two lovely children. From the very beginning, they made me feel not like a guest, but like someone genuinely welcome in their home. Their warmth, openness, and kindness are something special.
The house itself is a large traditional wooden home, thoughtfully designed with elements of Hmong culture. It has this incredible natural wooden scent, which makes the whole space feel alive and comforting. Despite the mountain climate, it stays pleasantly cool during the day and warm at night — something I really appreciated.
The room is exceptionally cozy, with large windows that open up to breathtaking mountain views. Waking up here feels almost unreal. The lighting is soft and warm, creating a peaceful atmosphere, and the decor — with traditional Hmong embroidery, curtains, and textiles — adds so much character and authenticity.
The bed is big and very comfortable, with beautiful bedding, and there’s a clothes rack for convenience. When I needed to work, they kindly brought me a table and chair upon request, which made a huge difference.
Bla is also an amazing cook — the food is absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. Sharing meals here feels like part of the experience, not just a service.
What really makes this place stand out is the people. They are incredibly hospitable, friendly, and genuinely happy to share stories about their lives and Hmong culture. It’s a rare opportunity to connect, learn, and slow down.
All the essentials are here too: hot water, a good shower, clean and comfortable bathroom facilities — everything you need to feel at ease.
I originally planned a shorter stay, but I ended up extending it — and I’m already sure I’ll come back again. I wholeheartedly recommend spending more time here if you can.
