Located close to the railway station while still being close to the city centre (balanced halfway point). The building was nice, with large lobby and roomy stairs and stairway. The room was decorated with a minimalist touch and had a balcony giving over the inner courtyard.
- absence of control over the AC system which was locked (with of course no extra blanckets to face the unwanted cold);
- lighting system was somewhat insufficient (difficult to read and to work/study at night);
- bed was made every day by housekeeping system but the towels were not changed.

We had a wonderful stay at Palazzo Archimede in Bologna. The location is excellent — less than a 10-minute walk from the train station and right in the heart of the city, making it the perfect base for exploring Bologna.
The Palazzo is set in a beautiful old building, but the interiors are incredibly stylish, modern and minimalist. What really stood out to us was the use of natural materials and earthy clay tones throughout. The microcement/clay-style finishes give the whole place a wonderfully calm, natural feel while still feeling very contemporary and sophisticated.
We were lucky enough to meet the owner who was also the designer and it was lovely to hear about the vision behind the place. You could really feel the passion and care that went into creating it — he was such an inspiring and genuinely lovely person.
We visited during a particularly hot spell, with temperatures around 36°C, so the air conditioning was very welcome and worked perfectly. The apartment also had a fridge and a small kitchenette, which was really handy.
The bathroom was another highlight — beautifully designed, with gorgeous Italian fittings and attention to detail. Even the shower gel was exceptional, made by Angela Langana, and felt like something you would expect in a high-end luxury hotel.
Palazzo Archimede has the feeling and quality of a boutique luxury hotel, while still offering the independence and character of a beautifully designed apartment. We absolutely loved our stay and would happily return.

Clean, safe and nicely located.
The apartment has a central cooling system, so we are unable to adjust the temperature ourselves. The air only comes through a very small ventilation opening. We asked twice for the temperature to be lowered. The first time, it was lowered slightly, but the second time there was no change at all. Since the room was set to 26.5°C at night, we were unable to sleep.
