Summary:

Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space. Nestled in a quiet hillside neighborhood, this mid-century gem is perfect for work groups, families or a couple looking to get away without being far away from the busy city and all the conveniences you love in life.

The Space:

We are thrilled to welcome you to Shizuka, a name that translates to "tranquility"—and for good reason. Built in 1977, this 2,356 sq. ft. NW Contemporary home features an expansive, open layout and large windows that bring the surrounding greenery inside. With a finished basement for extra break-out space and a large lot for outdoor dining, it’s the ultimate home base for those who value privacy and style.

Guest Access:

Spacious Mid-Century Design: Over 2,300 sq. ft. of living space!

Step into a bright, spotlessly clean space designed for relaxation. The primary living area features comfortable seating, natural daylight, and a direct flow to the outdoor deck. Whether you're brewing morning coffee or unwinding after exploring Downtown, everything you need is right here.

Standout highlights:

• Fast Wi-Fi / Gigabit

• Free parking

• Self check-in / Smart lock

• Air conditioning

The Neighborhood:

Food and Drink

-- Crossroads Coffee Cafe: Known as "Gladstone's Living Room," perfect for a cozy morning latte.

-- Gladstone's Pizza: Local favorite for scratch-made pies and house-smoked meats.

-- Masala Box: Authentic Indian takeout that is a neighborhood hidden gem.

-- Thai Smile: Fantastic local Thai cuisine (ideal for takeout!).

-- Oregon City Brewing Co: A short drive away for great local craft beer and a massive food cart pod.

Parks and Recreation

-- Gladstone Nature Park: 11 acres of beautiful trails and a "Butterfly Hill."

-- Meldrum Bar Park: Massive riverfront park for picnics, fishing, and strolling along the Willamette.

-- High Rocks Park: Famous local spot for river views and Clackamas River access.

-- The Trolley Trail: A 6-mile multi-use paved path for biking or walking that connects Gladstone to Milwaukie.

The setting is delightfully secluded — you'll hear birds, not traffic.
