After staying in 100s of hostels across India, I can confidently say that WanderPals Guwahati is one of the best hostel experiences I’ve had.
What makes this place stand out is that it gets the little things right. The hostel is beautiful, extremely clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed, but at the same time it doesn’t lose that crazy, social hostel vibe that makes you want to stay longer.
The amenities are fantastic. Everything you need is easily available, and I especially loved the self-pay model for snacks and other things. You can simply pick up what you need, pay for it yourself, and carry on: such a simple system, but incredibly convenient and built on trust. The food was also really good and added to the overall experience.
But honestly, the biggest reason this hostel stands out is the people.
Harshit, the owner, has created something really special here. You can tell that he genuinely cares about the experience people have at the hostel and has put a lot of thought into making it feel welcoming rather than just being another place to stay.
Nunu is absolutely wonderful. She is warm, caring, and goes out of her way to make sure you're comfortable. She genuinely takes care of you like a sister, and that personal warmth makes a huge difference when you're travelling.
And Chong, the reception guy, deserves a special mention too. He is incredibly helpful, polite, and always ready to assist with anything you need. Having someone like him at reception makes the entire stay feel effortless.
The cleanliness deserves another special mention as well. Despite being a social hostel with people constantly coming and going, everything was spotlessly maintained, which is something I really appreciate after having stayed at so many hostels.
After staying in 100s of hostels, I don't say this lighly - WanderPals is genuinely one of the best hostels I've stayed at in India.
Honestly, there’s nothing I didn’t like about my stay at WanderPals. Everything from the cleanliness and amenities to the food, hospitality, and overall vibe was thoughtfully taken care of. Even after staying at 100s of hostels across India, I genuinely couldn’t find anything that I felt needed improvement.

In real terms, Value for money and feel like home. As I stayed for 04 nights in the Deluxe Double Room, which was very spacious, well maintained and super clean. It was in itself spacious enough for accommodating 03 people. On the first floor you have the reception, playing areas and Male, Female and Mix Dormitories. The Rooms are on the Second Floor. The kitchen was too very big and the food served was delicious. The owner, Harshit is very warm welcoming and indeed this is a great place for travelers looking for a comfortable and friendly stay. Added bonus was right opposite to this property is the twin outlets of KFC and WOW Momo's and a local outlet named Kadak Chai, offering good menus.
I especially appreciated the friendly vibe, which made the stay feel more like being among good people and I would happily recommend Wanderpal to anyone visiting Guwahati.
Nothing much. Just the road (VIP road) on which this is located is not well maintained by the Govt. Agencies and it gets flooded with water in Monsoon Seasons. Location a little far from Brahmaputra River Front.
