The apartment has a truly outstanding location: spectacular sea views, beautiful beaches right downstairs, shops and restaurants nearby, and the old town within walking distance. It is spacious, well furnished and very suitable for a family with children.
Unfortunately, our experience with The Wonderful Italy Team was extremely disappointing.
We paid for our stay from 14–22 August and informed them in advance that we would arrive around 2 a.m. due to our late flight. We were charged an additional late check-in fee, which we paid. We then received wrong check-in instructions for a completely different property. After correcting this, we received a new code — which also did not work.
We arrived in the middle of the night with children, on an Italian national holiday, when everything was closed and nearby hotels were fully booked. The management company was unreachable. After several hours of trying to solve the situation and define a place to sleep, we hardly managed to find an emergency hotel room and taxis ourselves. We finally checked into the apartment the following morning, after the company acknowledged their mistake and sent the correct code.
We provided all receipts and requested reimbursement of approximately €365 in actual additional expenses. After repeated contacts with Booking.com, we received only a refund for the unused first night, and this was issued as credit for a future booking rather than reimbursement of our actual expenses.
There are also some inaccuracies in the listing: it says two bathrooms, while the second is actually a small technical room on the balcony with an old toilet and utility sink. There is also only one air conditioner, in the living room, with none in the bedrooms — important to know when staying here in August. A kettle, microwave and vacuum cleaner are also missing.
The apartment and location are excellent. The management, however, was not. Future guests should be aware of this before booking.
