Get ready to relax in this elegant 2-bedroom condo with a huge wrap-around balcony on North Hutchinson Island near Fort Pierce and Vero Beach. This elegantly appointed corner apartment features two king bedrooms (each with its own bathroom), free high-speed wireless Internet, large smart TV, washer/dryer, thermostat-controlled A/C and heat, luxury furniture, and original paintings and artwork. Be inspired by gorgeous views of the Indian River/Intracoastal Waterway, with a peek view of the ocean from the kitchen, external walkway to the elevator, and the wrap-around balcony. You'll view dolphins and manatees, anhinga and herons from your birds' eye view of the marina and nature preserve. If you need to work remotely, the Internet is accessible from any room and the balcony.
The site includes a private beach with wash station, and a tiki hut for evening drinks. Fish off the marina docks, or in the surf, use your boogie board or parasail, snorkel at the off-shore reef, or watch turtles nesting in the evening. Kayak in the Indian River and cross the IntraCoastal to the Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute to visit their dolphin research facility. Two tennis courts, four pickleball courts, two pools, jacuzzi, a kayak slide-in station on the dock, work-out machines, library, as well as free water aerobics and chair yoga classes, provide plenty of activities, or just enjoy the lovely landscaping for quiet walks on wheelchair-accessible pathways. Join in game nights, mahjong, Bingo, sewing club, etc. Residents are always eager to welcome newcomers. Monthly watercolor painting classes (fee-based) are held on site and suit one and all, from absolute beginner to expert. The nature reserve on the north side of the property ensures peace and privacy and interesting bird life, but sorry, no pets allowed for renters.
You can enjoy a wide variety of entertainment and dining on the island, and in Vero Beach and Fort Pierce, from inspired cuisine to food trucks at weekly farmers' markets, and some of the best fresh fish on the planet. Many restaurants, breweries, and pub-style bars provide live musicians and dancing. Other entertainment includes live theater, music events, movie houses, a world-class art museum, botanical gardens, boutique shops, antique stores, etc. Rent a boat and fishing guide at a nearby marina. Or take a day cruise for wildlife viewing on the St Lucie River or the Intracoastal. Bring your golf clubs (or rent) to try some of the dozen or so courses and driving ranges in the area. Frequent launches from the Kennedy Space Center (a day-trip in itself) can be viewed from the property and beach, and the Navy UDT Seals Museum is just down the road. Orlando's amusement parks are only 2 hours away. Closer to home, two treasure museums display the spoils of the Spanish shipwrecks that give the Treasure Coast its name, while the House of Refuge offers a fascinating visit back in time to the era of wooden vessels ravaged by the sea.
