Other Things to Note

Wildlife: You're staying in a natural environment where you may see deer, birds, snakes, bears, sandhill cranes, and other wildlife. Please do not feed, approach, or disturb any animals. Enjoy them from a safe distance and help preserve their natural habitat.

Ticks: Ticks are common in wooded areas. If you explore the property, we recommend checking yourself, children, pets, and clothing before heading back inside.

Loft Stairs: The stairs leading to the loft/second bedroom are steep. Please use the handrail and exercise caution. They may not be suitable for guests with mobility concerns or young children.

Road Access: The cabin is located at the end of a well-maintained dirt road and is accessible by standard passenger vehicles.

Air Conditioning: The home is cooled by mini-split A/C units. Because of the open A-frame design, the living room may be slightly warmer during extremely hot weather. A portable A/C unit is provided for additional comfort if needed.

Rural Setting: The Whispering Marsh is nestled deep in the woods, offering a peaceful and secluded retreat. Because of its rural location, you may occasionally hear gunshots from nearby hunting activities, recreational target shooting, or the neighboring private gun range. These sounds are infrequent and typically occur only during daytime hours.
