Hou in North Jutland is a cosy coastal village with a lovely harbour, a sandy beach and numerous leisure activities. The harbour is a popular meeting place all year round, with a maritime atmosphere. Hou’s beach, with its fine sand, dunes and shallow waters, is particularly child-friendly. The surrounding area is ideal for walks and cycle rides along the coast. You’ll also find good restaurants in Hou. For active holidaymakers, there are plenty of opportunities for kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding and fishing. Nature lovers can explore the nearby forests and coastal landscapes. Aalborg is just a short drive away and, with its museums, cultural attractions, restaurants and bustling streets, offers a varied contrast to the peaceful coastal life.
