The Space:

Welcome to Fortune’s View, a unique and character-filled lake retreat where beautiful water views meet the charm of an older East Texas home. The home has a wonderfully eclectic feel, with thoughtful updates, comfortable furnishings, and plenty of space for families and groups to spread out and enjoy their stay.



Upon entering, the living room is located to the right, while the dining area and kitchen are to the left. The dining room features massive windows overlooking the patio and lake views beyond, bringing the peaceful rural setting right into the home. The main level includes a full bathroom with a washer and dryer, along with a bedroom featuring a Queen bed.



Just across from the bathroom, a few steps lead down into a converted space that now serves as an additional living/sleeping area. From here, you'll find the second bedroom featuring a King bed, large closet, and beautifully updated private bathroom. A door at the back of this room leads into the game room.

The game room provides a fun space to gather and unwind, with the bunk room located just beyond it. The bunk room is a unique converted space featuring four Twin Murphy beds, making it a great setup for kids, teens, or additional guests.

Fortune’s View backs up to an older public park with direct water access. While the location provides a great opportunity for fishing from the bulkhead, getting into and out of the water from this area is not recommended. Please note that Fortune’s View is not directly lakefront, but it offers beautiful views of the lake from the property.



The home is equipped with AC units and mini-split systems throughout to help keep everyone comfortable during your stay.



Guest Access:

Guests will have access to the entire home (aside from one locked closet for supplies) and its outdoor spaces during their stay, including the patio, outdoor seating, firepit area, game room, and bunk room. The home is located next to a public park with access to the water; however, please note that Fortune’s View is not lakefront and water entry from the park’s bulkhead is not recommended. The bulkhead can be a great spot for fishing and enjoying the beautiful lake views.

Fortune’s View is tucked away in a peaceful, rural area of East Texas where the pace is slower, and the scenery is the star of the show. Located near the lake in Frankston, the property offers beautiful water views and a quiet setting away from the hustle and bustle.



The home backs up to an older public park with direct water access, making it a convenient spot to enjoy the scenery or spend some time fishing. Because this is a rural lake community, guests should expect a relaxed atmosphere and limited walkability. A vehicle is recommended for getting around and exploring the surrounding area.



Getting Around:

A vehicle is recommended during your stay. Fortune’s View is located in a rural lake setting, so restaurants, grocery stores, attractions, and other necessities are a short drive rather than within walking distance.



Other Things to Note:

Fortune’s View is a unique older home with plenty of character, and some of its charm comes from its unusual layout and converted spaces. If you appreciate homes with personality rather than cookie-cutter construction, you're going to love this place!
