About this house rental
Wake up on Lake Santa Fe. The Cypress is our family's 1,700-square-foot, 3-bedroom, 2-bath lake house with a long private dock reaching well out into the water - this is what a real North Florida lake weekend feels like.
Walk out through the screened porch, down a few steps, and you're on the dock: coffee at sunrise, swimming and fishing right off the end of the dock, an afternoon on the water, dinner from the Blackstone, one more drink under the covered dock at sunset.
LAKE + DOCK
Long private dock with a large covered waterfront seating area, swimming and fishing directly from the dock (we regularly catch bass and bream), 2 kayaks, 1 paddleboard, a lily pad floating mat, and dock electricity for lights or music. Even during lower lake levels, the dock's length keeps good swimming depth at the end.
BRING YOUR BOAT
Tie up alongside our private dock and leave it overnight, use the guest Jet Ski/PWC slip if your craft fits, and park your boat trailer in the yard. The public Lake Santa Fe boat ramp is about 2.6 miles by road.
SLEEPING + BATHS
1 king bed in the primary suite (private bath, walk-in shower, lake view), 1 queen in Bedroom 2 (desk, lake/dock view), 1 queen in Bedroom 3 (Pack 'n Play, large closet), plus a second full bath with tub/shower. Comfortably sleeps 6 - great for three couples or two families, with everyone in a real bed.
LIVING + KITCHEN
Open living room with a wood-burning fireplace, two Smart TVs, central AC/heat, and reliable Wi-Fi. Full kitchen stocked with everyday cooking essentials, plus a Ninja coffee/espresso bar for slow lake mornings.
OUTDOORS
Screened porch, open deck, outdoor dining, a wood-burning firepit, a fenced yard, and both a propane grill and a Blackstone-style griddle for cooking outside.
PET-FRIENDLY
Up to 2 pets under 35 lbs welcome ($75 pet fee), with a fenced yard and easy outdoor access.
LOCATION
About 18 minutes from Gainesville and the University of Florida - close enough for a Gator football weekend or a UF visit, far enough to feel like a true lake getaway. Melrose is a small, welcoming North Florida lake town with local restaurants, art galleries, and its own quiet charm.
CHECK-IN / CHECKOUT
Self check-in with a keypad code. We offer an unhurried 11 a.m. checkout - no alarm clock needed on your last lake morning.
