About this house rental
Beautiful home in Lesjöfors with sauna
A cosy, homely atmosphere characterises this inviting farmhouse in Värmland. Comfortable seating invites you to enjoy convivial conversations and peaceful evenings. Sunlight streams onto the wooden floors, whilst framed nature scenes and books lend the interior a homely feel. A traditional Bergslags stove forms the natural focal point of the room and provides cosy warmth after eventful days spent outdoors.
Laggsundet is surrounded by the dense forests and tranquil lakes that characterise this part of Sweden. In summer, you can go for walks through the woods, swim in the lake, take a trip out in the wooden rowing boat or go fishing. The sauna raft, complete with a wood-fired sauna, also promises relaxation. In winter, the surrounding countryside is ideal for cross-country skiing. Alternatively, you can visit the Säfsen Alpin ski resort, which features ski lifts, downhill runs and cross-country trails.
At the Lesjöfors Museum, you can learn more about the industrial history of Värmland. The region around Filipstad offers further insights into the area’s mining heritage and small-town life. At the Finngården Skifsen open-air museum, you can also learn about the local traditions of the so-called ‘forest Finns’ (skogsfinnar).
Whatever the season, the landscape invites you to slow down – from long summer days spent under the trees to autumnal outings where you can pick berries and mushrooms. Round off the day with a peaceful evening by the fire.
