This is a large, quiet, beautiful apartment near (200 yards from) the Plaza de Espana. It is right across Calle Princesa from the Tower of Spain. We had planned to share the apartment with friends, but a last-minute injury spoiled their plans, so we enjoyed the entire apartment ourselves. With a well stocked kitchen, we had tea every afternoon and even cooked the occasional breakfast and dinner. Juan was delightful, and even provided some food essentials. We had a delightful time, and strongly recommend this apartment.

We had a family gathering in Madrid with several family members. Juan Antonio’s apartment accommodated us all very well. He met us at check in and gave us good information. Access to transit is great. Very clean and well equipped. Highly recommend!

Juan has a beautiful apartment that was perfect for 3 couples. The location was perfect for us as we were attending a cultural exhibit 2 blocks away. the location is very walkable to many restaurants both small and neighborly as well as larger and more franchise-ish. We used UBER to get around and it worked perfectly! We even ordered pizza from Dominos as we had had our fill of chorizo, ham, tortilla and cheese...as we ate our way across Madrid. The pictures of the rooms are spot on. There was plenty to munch on when we arrived, fruit, juice, milk, bread, yogurt, butter. 4 of us arrived and then 2 an hour later. He waited until we were all there before leaving and kept in touch with us via Whatsapp throughout our stay. The kitchen was fully equiped although we did not cook during our short stay. There is a washer but no dryer so any washed clothes would need to be hung to dry on the outside line between two windows. With that, if you are used to towels dried in the dryer, the towels were not soft...not a problem just different than a hotel. In addition, bring with you a washcloth or other washing instrument if you are used to that. Not common in Spain. Anything we needed was available in the appartment...brochures and travel guides. We brought our computer and an HDMI cable and were able to watch movies as well as US news. We had an awesome stay in this awesome Piso and highly recommend it!

Juan, the wonderful host of this lovely property, could not have been nicer. The flat is as pictured, with plenty of space for our family to relax after long days exploring Madrid. The many attractive fine art posters decorating the walls provide plenty of local colour (and are fun to see before/after visiting the city's major art institutions). Nearby grocery store and restaurants are very handy, but the view from the front windows of the apartment is a little bit charmless. However, this is a very minor matter. Highly recommended,

We spent a week at the apartment. It was very well located and walking distance to many of the great areas you will want to frequent. There is a metro stop very close to the apartment as well. There is also a grocery store just downstairs. The owner Juan is great. He greeted us at the apartment when we arrived and provided a fruit basket as well as all breakfast essential so we could start our stay without having to run to the store immediately. The apartment has lovely living areas which we enjoyed with our family. I cannot wait to visit again! Thank you Juan for sharing your lovely place with us!

We loved the apartment, which was comfortable for all 8 members of the family. It would have been nice to have air conditioning, but we were prepared for the heat. The one thing we didn't know was that the apartment overlooks a major street in Madrid; this means it is very convenient to all the things you want to see (the Palacio Royal, old city, gardens, shopping) but it is very, very noisy. Traffic and Madrid residents are always on the go! But you can't beat the lovely space and the comfort, and it was nice to be able to walk to so many must-see attractions in the city.

Our stay in Juan Antonio’s apartment was a wonderful experience. The way the apartment is decorated as well as furniture that you find throughout this very spacious and clean property made us feel quite at home. Location couldn’t be better; right next to the city center. Plaza España Metro station is literally across the street, as well as bus station. Grocery store a block away. Even though, it is so well located, the apartment is very quiet, due to the fact that it is on a mainly pedestrian street. We also appreciated very much the groceries we found upon our arrival, which made it possible for us to have breakfast the next morning without having to go to the grocery store and instead have a needed rest after a very long flight. We will definitely stay in Juan Antonio’s apartment on a future trip to Madrid and would highly recommend staying in this apartment.

This apartment was wonderfully decorated, not at all like a rental, more like Juan Antonio and his family lived there. There was plenty of room for six of us. We especially enjoyed the roomy family/living room combo area that had floor to ceiling windows opening onto a street below that had very limited traffic and converted into al fresco dining on certain evenings. Great area to relax with a glass of wine after a long day of touring Madrid! The apartment was well stocked with everything you need to prepare meals, do laundry, etc. Juan Antonio even had a few staples like fruit, bread, milk, cereal, coffee, butter, etc. for us upon arrival. Juan Antonio was tremendous. He met us at the apartment and took plenty of time to acquaint us with the amenities and the immediate areas. He was quite a gentleman. The apartment is convenient to the metro stations and within walking distance of many of the attractions that Madrid has to offer. I would highly recommend this apartment. Thank you Juan Antonio!

We had the most comfortable stay at Juan's lovely apartment. Plenty of flexible sleeping and living space for our family gathering of 3 generations. It really felt like our home from home, with everything we could need. The colourful salon was a particular delight! The location is excellent - grocery shop and small playground just around the corner; metro and bus stops very close; easy walking to Gran Via and Puerta del Sol. Highly recommended!

We selected this appartment for the living room space and were not disappointed. We were 9 people and enjoyed being able to eat breakfast together and hang out in the evening. It is an older appartment but very functional and we had no issues. The location is perfect, close to city center, metro and a grocery store across the street. Despite of our flight delay, the owner was waiting to receive us which was very nice. We would book this place another time.

We stayed in this beautiful apartment for five days over the holidays. It is centrally located, spacious, and the bedrooms offer a quiet haven at the end of the day. We truly enjoyed our experience in this unit, which was made even better by the owner's kind and accommodating assistance with our check-in and travel arrangements.

Loved everything about this place. Juan Antonio (owner) was very attentive and professional. I would definitely come back to this place in a heartbeat, if felt like I was just at home. Almost afraid to post this feedback because I don’t want people find out about it, but that wouldn’t be fair. You don’t need to bring anything other than your clothes. Loved it
