It was isolated from many of the resorts on a cooler and luxurious feeling Hideaway. Everything was spotless and the hotel itself was exceptional.
It is windy and at times it does rain however it did not interfere in any way with the pool or other activities. We did rent chairs, an umbrella, which we could not use very long due to the wind on the beach.

gorgeous views from the Hotel, lovely walk to beaches, amazing food, great service and ambience
bars and restaurants could have stayed open later. Pool service could have been open longer.

The resort occupies a premium spot in an exclusive part of the island and is very relaxing. The adults only pool is a nice touch and the hotel rooms were very clean. The fire pit patio was a nice touch.
We were given a room with a connecting door which unfortunately meant we could hear everything next door including low-volume conversations. We requested a different room but were informed they were all occupied. Furthermore the hotel is quite a distance from popular tours and activities so a car is essential for first-time visitors. The bars and restaurants are also very expensive, but that comes with the territory and is to be expected. Overall, not a bad stay, but for the price, I’m not sure I’d say again.

Warm Hospitality: The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Their genuine "aloha" spirit made us feel right at home throughout our entire stay. Restful Atmosphere: We were very impressed with our accommodations; the room was spotless and remarkably quiet, which provided the perfect environment for a relaxing getaway. Breakfast Excellence: Starting the day was a highlight, as the breakfast offered a fantastic variety of choices. Impeccable Surroundings: The entire hotel grounds were beautifully maintained. It was a pleasure to walk through the lush, manicured gardens and enjoy how polished and clean every corner of the resort appeared.
Check-in and Billing Issues: Upon arrival, our booking via Booking.com could not be found in the system. When it was finally located, we were charged a higher, different rate than what we had originally booked. Additionally, the hotel had no record that our breakfast was included. We had to visit the reception multiple times to get this corrected. Customer Service Under Stress: During these billing discrepancies, the reception staff were not particularly friendly. Instead of taking ownership of the error, they made us feel as though it was our responsibility to resolve the situation, which is not the level of service we expected as paying guests. Property Orientation: The hotel faces north, which presents a bit of a dilemma if you enjoy lounging in the sun; you cannot face the sun and look at the ocean at the same time. * Beach Conditions: The waves at the resort's beach are enormous, making swimming quite difficult and, at times, dangerous. It is certainly not an ideal spot for a casual dip in the ocean. Dining Value and Variety: We found the culinary options at the Burger Shack and Banyan Tree to be underwhelming. The menus offer a very limited selection of mainly American food at prices that do not reflect the value. For example, a very basic Caesar salad cost $22, and adding just three shrimps cost an extra $16—and unfortunately, the shrimp were overcooked and dry. Note: On a positive note, the Alaloa Lounge was a bright spot, offering great food and drinks that we truly enjoyed.
