It was clean.

Breakfast was lovely, lots of choices. The scones were delightful.

Room smelled like mildew, and the floor seemed damp.

Rooms were very clean.

Infortunatley, this property located right next to an I-10 overpass. Since our room faced the expressway, it felt like 18-wheelers were rolling through our room all night. Our room was spotless, so I hate to be negative. If you choose this property, I recommend asking for a room on the side of the building away from the expressway. I would also like to remark that the lobby area is still being renovated. This is understandable, COVID created a drop in bookings, so a lot of properties decided to use this slow time to renovate, but are having a hard time finding the labor to execute. Not really a problem, unless this kind of thing bothers you. It doesn't help that there I'd also road work on this stretch of the Interstate. I expect this a popular point to stop as it is just across the Texas border driving west. Bottom line, I thought the price of the room was too high considering the torn up lobby and the noisy room. I would tend not to stay here again. Apologies to the staff, who clearly do a great job.
