This hotel looked as if it had been condemned and sat vacant for years before the current owners bought it. I can appreciate that they are renting rooms to generate invome to renovate but the property itself is still frightening.
The rooms themselves were clean and accommodating but the property was untended and under construction. The door from the outside to the rooms was supposed to be key secured but it was not functioning properly and I did not feel safe. Ice machine on my remote wing of the bullding was out of order so I had to treck almost to lobby for ice. Not to mention how remote and unkempt that end of the building was. Overgrown grass, borded up windows and doors, peeling paint, driveways potholed up and cracked. I could go on….I felt good that my stay was helping the owners stay in business while under renovation but for a woman traveling alone it is not recommended.
