It's in a good location that's walking distance to shops, cafes, bars, and restaurants. The hotel could definitely use a bit of an upgrade but has good bones. I liked all of the lava rock accent walls and decor. It was very Hawaii. My bff and I loved the pool area with bar and food. The pool area was beautiful and relaxing, the pool was the perfect temperature, and the cushioned chaise lounges were very comfortable. The only thing I ate at the bar was the coconut shrimp but I loved it and got it again before leaving. The restaurant where you can buy breakfast had a lovely patio overlooking the beach. I got the American Breakfast one day and the Eggs Benedict the next day and I liked both. I also liked the coffee at the cafe onsite and the sundry store had most everything we could need. Our room could use an update but it was clean and comfortable and had a nice balcony with a mountain view. We didn't do any excursions but there were plenty of them to choose from within walking distance. Since all the flights back to the mainland were at night, we liked how we could still use the pool area for free after we checked out in the morning. They held our luggage for us and we were able to schedule a free guest suite later in the day to shower. However, we didn't know that the free option didn't include a key to the bathrooms but we where able to get them from the bartenders. It could be worth it to pay extra for full privileges (I recall the price was reasonable).
The hotel overall could use an update in decor but it was still a nice hotel and very clean. The people working at the bar were great and very informative about the island; however, the people at the front desk, not so much. The food in the hotel was good but was over-priced, as were all of the surrounding restaurants, cafes, etc. I guess that's just Hawaii. The restaurants, shops, etc., surrounding the hotel were nice to visit and walk around during the day. However, it got a little seedier at night. There are unfortunately a lot of homeless people in the little village. Although, I still felt safe at night. No one bothered us. Regardless of my 'didn't likes', I would still recommend this hotel, especially if you're looking for a 'relax by the pool' vacay.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The facility is beautifully decorated and kept. It was close to everything I wanted.
The price for breakfast was grossly overpriced. They provided nice options but for 35.00, I thought it was severely overpriced.
The menu options at the restaurant by the pool had very limited options. I found it to be overpriced as well.

The location next to the little beach was lovely.
The air conditioning was freezing in the room and I could not adjust it. also, last time I booked this on Booking.com a year ago, the free breakfast was included, and this time I paid more money and I expected the breakfast buffet, but it was not included. That should’ve been more clear.
