Location was good close to the center of town, the front desk help especially helpful and had good recommendations.
Toilets could’ve been taller, sounds weird, but they’re very short

Old World style lodge with much history. Excellent Location. Many things to go & see in the area even in the Summer.
The carpet is a bit worn. No elevators with up & down stairs on first floor of a 2 story long building.

We enjoyed our stay very much as the location was good, a close walk to the downtown stores & restaurants and we had a mountain view, which we paid extra for. They have 4 Adirondack chairs outside looking at Bald Mountain, so we bought a bottle of wine, sat on the chairs and enjoyed the beautiful scenery for a few hours. The evening was perfect to sit out and enjoy.
Breakfast was good too - cereal, yogurt, juices, fruit, eggs, bacon, tater tots, gravy and biscuits, muffins, bagels, bread to toast and waffles to make and of course coffee & tea. There's plenty to eat and enjoy and the breakfast room is spacious with plenty of seating.
We got a king room with a mountain view which was blocked a bit by some trees, but overall, It was great.
One thing I didn't like is I could not open the sliding doors to get onto the balcony as they are bolted shut. The balcony is not a private one for each room, it's one continuous balcony. There was a side door close by our room to walk onto the balcony but if you walk down the balcony you would be passing everyone else's room. I'd have liked to be able to sit out on the balcony, and that's my only gripe.
