Warm, Cozy and Welcoming

The Inn was so charming and welcoming. Fireside reading, family games in a breakfast room and just cozy and welcoming. Comfy communal seating throughout. There were lending libraries all through the INN and board games and foosball available. My daughter also appreciated hot cocoa and cookies before bed each night in the lobby. Although breakfast was your average continental breakfast, it was cozy welcoming and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Also appreciated that it’s the first place in 4 years I have found a bedside Bible. (Not a big deal for many but a WIN in my book) We will be making a trip back!

My only complaint was our bathroom door didn’t shut due to a warped door frame from aging, but it was manageable for my family, no issues.

Historical building

Really noisy AC unit that kept us awake at night. Coffee pot ran out of coffee and was not replaced. We had to use coffee maker in the hall to make every cup. The entrance in the parking lot is extremely confusing and not showing correct if you use Google maps.

Disappointing

continental breakfast included and adequate

the property was not well maintained. Dining chair cushions were tattered and easily repaired with new fabric and a stapler- no re-upholstery needed. There was not adequate and comfortable seating in the common area. My room was very dark, not a place to spend any time other than to sleep. Wood flooring was worn. I last stayed at Colts Neck Inn in about Aug 2010. In the intervening years the property, sadly, went from charming to distressed. I was quite embarrassed that I recommended this property to my travel mate. Overall it was poor value relative to other options in the area.

It was the closet inn to a party next door.

There was no airconditoning that worked in Room 207, so I was up all night. The bed wasn't bad, but the pillows were like rocks. I was very uncomfortable.

Superb

Breakfast was more than expected. Very surprised that this place is only a 2 star hotel. It's lovely with nice amenities and accepts dogs.

Comfortable bed

Room was dated, heard the washer/dryer from housekeeping all night, and I could hear the person who was in the room above walking around the room in the wee hours of the morning. Morning front desk staff not very friendly...

Perfect stay

Very tasteful clean vintage decor. Still has all the modern amenities. Very clean easy and friendly.

A lot of little details. Fresh roses in the room. Lollipops and mints at the upstairs sitting area. Has the environment of a luxury hotel from times past.

Overnight Getaway

I loved the entryway and the beautiful wood. Loved the friendly staff and the coffee mini bar and snacks handy.

The room was spacious and well-appointed but very dark. (We were in 123) All in all we enjoyed our stay and would return. The space was clean and quiet and we loved the area.

Excellent place and will be returning.

The room was big, very nice and clean, nice decorated as well. The complimentary breakfast was perfect, the entire hotel building was very comfy feeling. Bedding was comfortable and I liked that it had extra mattress protectors on it.

I liked everything for the most part however the night staff was not friendly at all. If i could get him to answer or talk to me he wasn't very friendly. Other then that it was perfect.

I was able to have a quiet, restful place at the end of a day of sightseeing.

The Inn was a comfortable place to come home to at night. Quiet. Had the basics - always had coffee. Had a stall shower, which I appreciated. Service was excellent. Breakfast room clean and well cared for. Employees pleasant and helpful. Nice lounge in upper lobby

Exterior could use a bit of work - the curbs weren't well marked and the walking a little rough in the parking lot.

A little surprising and disappointing after the reviews we had read.

It was convenient to where we had a family party. It was quaint hotel.

We checked in and our room was right by the front desk….we walked in and needed to use the bathroom and the toilet seat was lifted with sanitary strip. There was stool in the toilet!! We were in shock! We decided not to complain because woman at front desk had her mother there in a wheel chair. Then, we tried to watch TV and we could not get connected. TV kept indicating that remote had connection issues. Again, we did not want to disturb front desk as that would be lengthy. When we checked out and shared our experience —we were informed “sorry”. Again, not what we expected.
