Our stay was relaxing

We had an excellent vacation and can't wait to go back!

We loved the view from the Treehouse! Everything was also really clean and tidy, the rental was adorable and you could tell a lot of thought was put into the guests' comfort and enjoyment.

Great place. Would happily stay there again.

Great location. Earned the name “River Song” because you constantly heard the nearby River even though you weren’t right on it. Beautiful view. Also, very appreciative of how pet friendly it was.

Although cabin was comfortable and well equipped, the furnishings were old and felt to be on their last legs.

A nice getaway

I liked the uniqueness of the place. My son called it a spaceship. The staff was friendly and check in was a breeze. If you want peace and quiet this is the place for you.

As much as we enjoyed ourselves there the only drawback was the place being far away from everything.

Superb

Was our first time in the mountains. Pretty much loved everything about it! My 9 yr.old son & I really enjoyed ourselves, as well as the nice cabin we stayed in.. We got out & sight saw & got to meet some friendly faces. By the way the waterfall was gorgeous! I had just turned 45th & was in a car crash days earlier & celebrating my B-day...which im Blessed to be alive to even enjoy this experience, I had already booked my trip so I still decided to go & I'm glad we did.. I would love to go back one day..definitely worth it!

The winding roads & it rained & was a little chiller @ times more than I would have liked, but I don't know if it's always like that or not..or just the time of the year. Also not much yard to parking space to turn around.

I picked pet friendly on the website, but once I had paid found out they didn't normally accept pets and I had to pay an additional fee

First time in mountains the drive was scary but great location, the cabin only had one TV but everything else was nice.

The people who oversee the place a wonderful but the house itself is very uncomfortable.

The area is really pretyy this time of the year, good location, and the people at Albert's overseeing the property were incredibly helpful when we had issues.

The beds were uncomfortable, there was only one full size bed in the whole place but in the photos it appeared as though there were 2. The place was very cold at first and it was impossible to figure out how to turn on the baseboard heaters. Someone was kind enought to come out to help us with that. When we started a fire, although the flu was open, the chimney must be clogged because the place gets very smokey and hard to breath. There were also several mice living in the walls that made noise at night.

Great, comfortable house in the mountains.

Loved the windows, spaciousness, having everything we needed in the kitchen. Comfortable for us and dogs. Staff was friendly

Yard needs work and would be great to have a gate on deck to allow the dogs outside without having to guard them from running off deck. Also, with all the fees it was a bit pricey.

Perfect location near Mount Mitchell to escape the heat of Charlotte, hike all day, and relax just taking in the views!

The owners were very welcoming, the location was extremely convenient, spectacular mountain view, walking distance to a waterfall and restaurant

Some things were broken/not working and could use updating but did not affect our stay whatsoever

all dishes, utensils, needed supplies provided; very clean and welcoming; great atmosphere and close to parkway; nice caretakers.

This is the place to stay if you plan to hike the NC state high point

The treehouse was beautiful with wonderful character. Isolated, yet right off the road. the Black Mountain TH is literally down the road. This is a top option if you plan to adventure in the Mount Mitchell area. From this location, Grandfather Mountain and Asheville are less than an hour away by car.

It was awesome could have done without the pet dander in the unit that impeded our comfortability.

I liked the scenery. The home was nice as well it had 4 bedrooms with the fourth sleep area in the basement.

I didn’t like the mildew/stale air smell in the unit. I guess someone must have stayed in the unit with animals because the whole trip we had to keep the windows/doors open because it messed with our allergies and asthma. The home needed a good carpet cleaning.

Superb

Great location close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. This specific rental was not a room but two story townhouse, essentially an AirBnb type of place. So had a full size & fully stocked kitchen, living room, balcony porch, 2.5 bathrooms, etc.

Furnishing a little dated but still comfortable and didn't deter from how nice the place was, actually added to its charm.
