The Oak motel has a very good location within walking distance to the square in La Grange. They know who they are and they deliver good value. I had a restful night sleep and a warm shower. It's not fancy or luxurious in any way, but it's clean and they've made an effort to create a nice place for their guest which seem to consist mostly of people who come to La Grange for work. They've put their money in the places where it matters. The linens were clean and comfortable, the shower was good, and the AC worked well.
I wish that the lobby didn't smell so strongly of cigarettes. It wasn't a pleasant place to be in.

For an old hotel, my room was clean and updated. The hotel was nicely located being right off of the town square and on the road up to Monument Hill
The entry into the parking lot has quite a dip and was a scraper for my car. The curtains in the room did not adequately block the parking lot lights.
