a little bit disappointed.

the amazing view and the style and the color of the house.

Disappointed. While the house is beautiful with a nice view on the ocean and in a good location to enjoy the beach, it was NOT clean and not well equipped for a stay. We found dog poop by the balcony door and on the rug by the dining room table, dog hair all over the bed sheets, a wet, dirty bathmat in one of the tubs, crumbs on the table…The beds are old springy mattresses, very squeaky and pretty uncomfortable. The fridge/freezer does not work and barely keeps anything « cold ». All the pots and pans are rusty, and all the dishes and silverware are mismatched. The Dishwasher is not fixed to the cabinets and dangerously tips over every time it’s open to be loaded. In short, things all over the house need to be fixed and updated asap and everything needs to be better cleaned.

We liked the view. Yes, there is a major road in front of the house, but it looks right across to the bay where you can walk and swim. There’s a back porch that looks out onto wetlands all the way to the inland waterway. We didn’t use the middle porch because it is early spring and too windy but it looks like a fabulous spot for seeing both ways. This was a perfect location for birding as it is right in the middle of two of the best burding spots around. There is a small pond behind the house where I saw some of the best birds all week! (Albeit in small numbers but fun.) the bird sanctuaries are amazing.

The dishwasher is a bit funky and hard to close. We would’ve liked to have had a broom on site to clean up our own messes.

Shabby

Not a lot. It was large and the front deck was nice although the deck furniture was not usable.

Although the bathrooms and kitchen were clean, the rest of the house was dirty - visible dust on the textured walls, mold on the air vents, dirty upholstery and FULL of mosquitoes. It was also cold - a cold front came in while we were there and the thermostat was LOCKED so we couldn’t adjust the temperature in the house (it was 56) and there was only one blanket. The beds are small - only full and twin beds - and the sitting area is taken up by a large dining table rather than comfortable seating for reading or watching TV. Also there was only one bedside table with a reading lamp. Although the house can accommodate a large family, it is very close to a three lane road with a speed limit of 60 MPH. Paper products and kitchen equipment were surprisingly inferior.

Nice Value Play within 10 minutes to beach

Pretty affordable, 10 minute walk to the beach, not in a crowded area, spacious house

To get to beach you have to cross a road with cars going 60 MPH, so not safe for the kids just to come and go by themselves. House needs some maintenance. The front and back doors leak very bad when it rains, the front door knob came off. Outdoor parking lights did not work. Needs some TLC
