About this cottage rental
Located in Holmfirth, this charming cottage for $133 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Ripple Cottage is a stone built under dwelling cottage. Spacious main bedroom with kingsize bed (converts to two singles if required), Bathroom with WC, Bath and overhead Shower and Basin. The utility room also includes washing machine and Airer rack for drying clothes. The kitchen is well appointed and includes all mod cons, plus dishwasher. A comfortable lounge with sofa bed and a dining table (seats 4). Large 42" , LCD, Free Sat box, DVD Player. A great feature of this property is its location. Based in the centre of Holmfirth but tucked away. There is parking for guests near by. Holmfirth mostly consists of stone-built cottages nestled in the Pennine hills. The Peak District National Park around Holme Moss is 4 miles (6.4 km) to the south of the town. Holmfirth was once a centre for pioneering film-making by Bamforth & Co.More recently it has become well known as the location of the situation comedy Last of the Summer Wine. All breakages should be replaced or paid for before departure. • The Owner shall not be liable for any personal injury or liable to any damage sustained while at the cottage. In the unlikely event that the accommodation already booked should subsequently become unavailable due to circumstances beyond the control of the owner , every effort will be made to find suitable alternative accommodation. If not be possible all monies paid will be refunded

Very comfortable. Very close to town. Loved the river being just outside the door. Morning coffee in the sun outside the front door was very relaxing with birds singing and flitting about. Would recommend for up to 3 if one is a child. Holmfirth is a great place. Goods pubs and restaurants and great walks nearby.

This was perfect for our little getaway. Tucked away, but really easy to find and get to. Everything on hand, communication was excellent we were made to feel really welcome, even the dog.

We spent 2 nights in the cottage with our dog and it was lovely. Everything was spotless and we had everything we needed, even a pint of milk! The only downside is not having any parking but there is street parking not too far away. Communication with Kathy was great all the way through, would definitely come again. Thanks!

I don't think can put into words how nice the cottage and place is such a wonderful relaxing weekend me and my partner will definitely be booking another visit as the place is wonderful and the surrounding area is lovely thanks for having us stay there

We are so pleased we chose Ripple Cottage for our New Year Break.
It was so welcoming in every way = we felt at home as soon as ee walked through the door. It was so quiet - just the restful sound of the river to lull you to sleep - yet right in the middle of town so no more than 5 minutes walk to pubs and restaurants. Great facilities, clean and comfortable throughout. Looking or somewhere in 2023 - grab this place now as if you miss we think you will be sorry.

Property was good that the microwave was simple; but bad that the hob/oven were high tech, with the manufacturer supplied oven "manual" being short of decent, logical instructions (several previous guests had also commented about it).
But the major fault is that the Vrbo website includes, in the cottage's "Facilities", parking.
BUT, the cottage HAS NO parking facilities, so public roads or car parks must be used!

A home from home , cosy clean cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Literally so much on your doorstep. Overlooking the river I become a birdwatcher got some great pictures of a Heron, Kingfisher and dicks , enjoyed listening to the river flowing so relaxing. My 2 year old enjoyed the books and games and use of the Tv & DVD player for his favourite shows.

A lovely weekend stay
My husband and I had a weekend away with our pug in this lovely house. The owner, Kathy, had left dog treats, which he was very pleased to see. There were fresh flowers and milk and cookies. Everything was clean and well presented and we had everything we needed. We were lucky it was warm enough to use the bistro set for coffee out the front, where we saw a majestic heron in the river. The sofa was very comfortable for a slobby evening in front of the telly. Just a fabulously comfortable weekend away and Kathy kept in touch to with all the necessary information. We would happily stay again.
