Ocean-facing hotel with onsen and fabulous restaurant

The hotel was kind enough to upgrade us from a room with Mountain View to one facing the ocean. The staff were kind and eager to help and were also flexible enough to let us bring our own dinner and eat at their premises.

The view from the pool was nice but the pool is only about 3 feet deep. The staff was polite. The staff was helpful The room did not look like the photos online and the restaurants were overpriced for food that was not good at all.

I had exceptional time here as a solo female traveller.

Too expensive for what it offers

They had toys for the swimming pool which were fun to use with our son. The view from our room we could see the open sky, and during some clear nights the shiny stars.

One disappointment after another. For instance, it doesn't have access to the beach, you can't get into the sea from the hotel. The staff leaves a lot to be desired: on more than one occasion, they didn't even answer my son's greeting when he saw them, and he asked why they didn't answer. There is no lunch place or cafeteria within the hotel (to have a quick lunch), drinks only during mid day. So we had to buy some stuff in the grocery store to not being without food during the day. I wanted to ask for cutlery to cut fruit and they denied me saying they didn't have any (but of course there are cutlery for breakfast). I had to tell them this so they would reluctantly go find me a spoon at least. They don't make the room or straighten the sheets; they give you a 500 yen coupon per non-cleaned day to spend at the hotel that has nothing to spend it on. Few times they didn't even washed the glasses in the room, they left them as they were. The beds were hard. Not to mention that they do not change the towels for the pool by default, if you want you have to pay extra 100 yen for each of them, each time. The pool is low and in summer the water is hot, and the public bathroom is not well equipped. We stayed in the new part of the building and it is quite noisy: the footsteps of the people above could be heard. The breakfast service is very precarious, nothing to do with the photos on the website. I think the only great thing about the hotel is the photographer who took the photos for the website, excellent job, but I felt completely cheated. We do not recommend it, if you can go to another place do it without hesitation. I really felt sorry for staying here for so many days.

Superb

Breakfast is superb. And the whole hotel has a wonderful sea view and a beautiful pool. The staffs there are very friendly and would like to tell you about good places to go. The sofa in the room is also very comfortable and feeling so good just sitting there and watching the sea.

Dinner is just so-so and it will cost some money to go to the roof to watch the stars. Note that you can see starts from the terrasse but lights from the hotel will have some impacts.

Two sections to hotel - we stayed in older section that was still clean and comfortable but en-suite (including shower area) was a bit cramped on space.

Standard Room is poor of decorations. A few frames to the wall and a bed runner would make a difference

Pool blends to sea & sunsets

Loved the view of the pool against the sea, the sky on the west coast, sunsets, and paddleboarding every day. Also enjoyed the public outdoor bath on 3rd floor, and the pool! Staff were polite, but very little English spoken. Nice to have bicycle access. Also enjoyed the hammocks!

Very few bus connections for getting around, few food shops in vicinity, Little English spoken, and not much sense of humor. ;) That said, we enjoyed our stay.

the facilities, the pool, the rooms were very pleasant and clean! The open bath was also very very good!

At this level of the hotel, the amenities are very very poor quality. Shampoo and conditioner in the room and public bath were absolutely not good for any type of hair! My advise for those who are staying - take your own shampoo!!!

Sunny, quiet stay shortened by a typhoon. Saw the sea, but could not swim in it.

My room had a lovely ocean view which was very nice. Unfortunately, swimming at the beach was not allowed. I was unaware of this restriction when making reservations. Not having a car made moving around difficult. The hotel and garden are spacious and well-kept. The pool is very nice. The administrative staff was very helpful in modifying my stay due to the arrival of a typhoon.

It would be nice to have more eating options. Breakfast is mostly Japanese food, Western items such as French toast, omelettes, waffles, fruit yoghurts, and more variety of fuit would be nice.

Rooms were tiny, but clean & adequate for a short family stay. Better staff communication needed.

Fantastic location close to Ishigaki's main town. Great swimming pool for families. Decent buffet breakfast.

Fire alarm went off at 3:50 a.m. and we were forced to evacuate our rooms. Staff were slow in responding & we weren't given any proper explanation as to what had caused this until we enquired upon checkout. Should have been better explained to guests.

we stayed for 2 night for friend’s wedding. great value for ocean front hotel with large open air bath like hot spring. whole facility is very clean and easy to access anywhere. I really enjoy.
