This well-maintained, turn-of-the-(20th)-century farmhouse is on Rattlesnake Drive, convenient to the Rattlesnake Market and Cafe and Rattlesnake Creek. There is a privacy fence and driveway. There are four bedrooms with Queen-size beds and three bathrooms. Two main floor bedrooms each have adjoining bathrooms, and two upstairs bedrooms share a bathroom. The kitchen has been recently remodeled. A spacious, enclosed sun porch looks onto a large back yard that abuts an apple orchard and Mount Jumbo. The Rattlesnake Wilderness Area is a few miles to the north, and downtown Missoula and the University of Montana are ten minutes away. Local attractions include Ten Spoon Winery in the Upper Rattlesnake, with public tastings on Thursdays-Sunday; Snowbowl ski area, 12 miles northwest of town; and hiking and cross-country ski trails throughout the region. Blue ribbon trout streams can be found in every direction, with State and Tribal fishing licenses available at most sporting goods stores in Missoula. Originally a working apple orchard and one of the first homes in the Rattlesnake, the property is at the base of Mount Jumbo, which is protected from development by the efforts of the Five Valleys Land Trust.
