About this house rental
Nestled in Beaver Lake, this lovely house for $200 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Far away from the noise of traffic and people...Come enjoy the peace and quiet of this comfortable home, surrounded by 8-1/2 acres of lawn, trees and the lake on three sides of the property, so there is plenty of space to explore and hike. Mornings and early evenings will give you the perfect setting for watching the deer stroll right by the front door. Enjoy the custom made swinging lounges, under the pergola that is the perfect place for relaxing, watching the wildlife, listening to the lake sounds, watching sunsets and sunrises, over the lake. (just 100 feet from the house). There are two + decks to enjoy the outdoors from, and one is screened in. The lake surround just about 3 sides of this property. Please note that there are 171 steps down to the shoreline from the house, and there IS a "rest" area about 1/2 way down these steps. They are NOT enormously steep steps, but we don't want you to be surprised. The path is all wide, wooden steps, with lighting at night. There is a King Bed in the Master Bedroom and a Love seat size sofa sleeper TWO Queen Beds in the Second Bedroom Secluded area a the end of the Living room with Privacy Curtain, has a California King Bed. This property’s location is stunning. The site, fire pit, dock, views and land is *chef’s kiss*.
However, the house is another story. We didn't care that it wasn’t updated, we cared that it was filthy. It wasn’t clean at all. We picked up trash all over the floor the whole time we stayed. It’s like it kept reappearing. The bathrooms were the grossest part! There was black mold in the shower liner, mold along the tracks of the shower door and dirt all over the floors and baseboards. And, let’s not forget the sulphur smell in the water. A filtration system would solve this issue immediately. The owners of this place completely missed the boat on sharing this place with everyone. I don’t recommend this place.
This property could be so special with a few minor updates. Goodness, I’d be willing to help do a few things so the owners can receive maximum return.

We went hiking at Hobbs State Park, Ziplining and a train ride in Eureka Springs, to a UARK game in Fayetteville, and had some quality family time at the VBRO we stayed at!
There was plenty of room and places to sleep. We loved having the ping-pong table in the garage. We used the grill and kitchen to cook a few nights. And the lake is BEAUTIFUL!
The only part that wasn't explained or expected was the smell of sulfur when we first arrived. It was pretty strong our first night there. But management helped us figure out what to do about it. Run the hot water through, open the windows and turn on the fans. Once we did all that the rest was smooth sailing.

We love NW Arkansas
We went hiking at Hobbs State Park, Ziplining and a train ride in Eureka Springs, to a UARK game in Fayetteville, and had some quality family time at the VBRO we stayed at!
There was plenty of room and places to sleep. We loved having the ping-pong table in the garage. We used the grill and kitchen to cook a few nights. And the lake is BEAUTIFUL!

Great place to stay! Beautiful, clean, nice property.
Instructions need updated. Dock trash was not emptied before our stay. We went ahead and cleaned it up. No worries. Excellent place.

Property was quiet and perfectly located on the lake. There are a lot of steps down to the water, but that was understood prior to booking. The dock was great to swim from and tie up our boat for the week. Lots of deer running around by the house and good fishing from the dock. Plenty of room for our family of 5! Great time!

The property was great. Having a nice slip to use for our boat was awesome. The closest boat ramp was 30 minutes away which was a slight inconvience. The check in process needs some work. We had to drive to the realty company to get the keys which was not customer focused since we paid a management fee. When we informed by the management company that their could be a sulphur smell as the owners had some work done on their well. Sure enough we use the water and the sulphur smell was present. I texted the management office and they sent someone right out. This took away from our vacation time as we had to wait for the repairman to finish up his work. It would have been more considerate of the management company to have driven to the property to make sure we were not inconvenienced by this. We chose to put the key in the lockbox rather than driving out of our way on the way home. This seems unreasonable to me. I have rented many times on vrbo and have never had the rentals require that I go to an office out of the way to pick up my key.
