The over-the-top reviews of this townhouse from prior travelers had our expectations already very high, and yet we were still blown away. The hygge-factor for this place is off the charts. From the abundant plants and flowers to the comfortable furniture, to the super cleanliness of every surface, to the historicity of the building and surrounding neighborhood, it really is a very special place.

We were so excited to be able to stay at this location! We have visited Aarhus many times and knew this location - and even this exact house- which was perfect for being right in town but also quiet. The house is beautiful and functional inside. The four of us had ample room for sleeping, eating and staying in on rainy afternoons. The outside space has beautiful greenery. We enjoyed the music system in the main room! There is a yummy bakery down the street, as well as coffee, restaurants and several grocery stores not far. The bus system is easy to use and many buses are 2 blocks away. Poul was a helpful and gracious host! I can’t recommend this home enough.

We loved staying at this home, it was designed so well and modern while keeping the integrity of the building itself. It was walkable to EVERYTHING, which was ideal because I found the taxi service in Århus to be extremely unreliable. My company is based here and when I come back for work, I will ONLY stay here!

Easy and punctual check in, uncomplicated chech out. Very friendly owner. The house has character, very practical and furnished with a lot of taste. Location perfect, you can visit almost all Aarhus attractions by foot. Better than a hotel, as you have all hotel comfort but much more space. Book the parking with it as difficult and expensive to park on the street.

We can't fault our stay at Poul's home...everything was perfect! The house was immaculate with everything you could possibly need. Poul was receptive and answered any questions we had promptly. The location is perfect for exploring Aarhus. We will certainly stay here again when we next return.

Poul Erik’s cottage was immaculate and beautifully presented - it also had everything we could have needed. We loved the neighbourhood and how central it was to so many attractions. We would definitely stay here again when next in Århus!

Recently spent 9 days/nights with my partner in this wonderful townhouse in a very nice central area of Aarhus. The property is beautifully decorated/appointed in a contemporary style , immaculately clean and stocked with virtually everything one could possibly want for a stay in Aarhus. Poul, the owner, checked us in, described all the relevant features of the property and made himself available should we have any additional needs or questions during our stay (we didn't!). We have had great success with Home Away/VRBO rentals over the years and this property is right up there with the very best!

This townhouse was exactly as described. It has the charm of an old home with modern conveniences and was immaculately clean and well maintained. It is located a block off the downtown river and just a minute or two walk from many cafés, restaurants, and bars. I did not meet the owner but he made the check-in/out processes very easy and accommodated all our requests. I highly recommend this property for anyone visiting Aarhus.

We needed to be in Aarhus for a month, and Poul's charming house was a perfect place for us to stay. It is clean, extremely well decorated, well-equipped (especially the kitchen), beautiful and very comfortable. The small yard and upstairs deck were lovely, even in winter. The location is convenient to all the basics as well as concerts, the art museum and wonderful restaurants. Poul was very kind and pleasant, and responsive to questions. There were even bowls of fresh fruit awaiting us when we arrived. I agree with a previous reviewer--this is the house I would buy if I could, if I lived in Aarhus.

We recently spent 5 wonderful days in the lovely city of Aarhus at this charming home. Poul was a very thoughtful host and easy to deal with in the weeks leading up to our visit. The house is perfectly located on a quiet street within close walking distance to everything in the city. The enclosed first floor garden and the deck off of the second floor bedroom are fabulous amenities that made it enticing to spend as much time as possible at the house. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay while experiencing this beautiful part of Denmark.
