The house was clean and had all the necessary amenities so our family could enjoy a relaxing weekend. The code lock system was easy to use. We appreciated the owners stopping by to shovel the deck and sidewalks after a dusting of snow fell the first night. Our only suggestion is to oil or tighten the hinges on the bunk bed upstairs. It was so squeaky that the kids couldn't sleep on it and had to sleep on the couches instead. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and we would rent this location again.

Clean, comfortable home with a lot of room and in a great neighborhood. Location was perfect for us to hit the State Fair and explore the Twin Cities. My daughter loved it so much she said “I wish we lived here!”
We brought our dogs as well and they loved the house, the fenced in yard, and the neighborhood.
The host (Joe) was great. Professional, polite, and great communication.

Clean house. Perfect fenced yard. Nicest neighborhood. Quiet. Highest quality kitchen, wonderful crisp sheets, large deck. Steam shower. The amenities add up! It was just my dogs and I this weekend but this house could accommodate a horde.
For my visit and what I needed it was perfection. I needed to recharge. There is a huge park next to the house with a place to cool off and play in the water for kids or adventurous adults. So many good places to eat. So excited that even though I brought enough food I ordered delivery! I met a few neighbors and they were so Minnesota nice that I didn’t want to leave! The owner is especially sweet and was up for texting even though it wasn’t needed. I would recommend this place for a girls get together. A family vacation to the city or just down time by one’s self. It’s a great place!

It worked great for us . There were 8 of us and with two gathering areas we could let the younger ones play video games downstairs. Would have liked a TV upstairs. Only other thing was there were some bugs. Maybe need an exterminator. Otherwise was great.

My family really enjoyed our stay in this clean, comfortable home. Much of the time was spent visiting out on the deck in this quiet neighborhood. The ice maker happened to act up while there and Joe offered to do whatever he could to take care of the situation. I admit that some of the reviews my husband read did give me pause…. but we kept communications open and had no problem whatsoever. A suggestion made by one in the party was to install no-slip strips in the tub/shower, or a removable mat. We found it dog friendly, and she too enjoyed sunning on the deck. We’d certainly visit again!

This house was just last listed. Communication was wonderful with Joe! Parking in the back was amazing! The yard was awesome for our dog and the neighbor was amazingly quiet! If we are back, we will for sure stay again!!!!

We enjoyed being close to our family at this property and appreciated bring able to have early check in. We were surprised that the toilet seats were not cleaned before our arrival and some of the sheets had dog hair and stains. I asked about toiletries and was told they were onsite but the body wash dispenser in the stream shower was empty and there was no hair conditioner. The comforter on the master suite was for a full size bed and didn’t cover us. The deck furniture was filthy.

The main reason we chose this place was to accommodate our family; 2 adults, 2 teenagers and two dogs, and they very much enjoyed themselves . The house is close enough to the city for events but far enough away to feel like you are home. We also appreciated the house manual which gave clear instructions plus food/drink tips for the area.

Honestly I was worried in the beginning because of the reviews I read and there was a bit of a hiccup at first but the host was very accommodating and helpful. The house was clean even though we weren’t there long we still enjoyed our stay thanks again Joe..

The beginning of the process was great, communication and friendliness were as noted in previous comments.
Joe had to fix the furnace so that was appreciated but in hindsight I was it was broken so I could remember the trip I waited 2 years for without having to think about this host.
The bigger issue was the novel of a text thread that concluded the trip and nothing better to read as I was about to board the plane with two kids.
Customers privacy inside & out are equally important and this host was all to eager to jump to conclusions and make the most ridiculous claims based on what he viewed from the outdoor cameras (x3).
As a family with grandparents who spent a good two hours taking out garbage, cleaning the kitchen and wiping tables all I was expecting from Joe was “thanks for cleaning up and have a safe trip”. He instead made baseless claims that he later retracted and then went on to complain how he’s going to have to pay more for cleaning. The cleaning fee is more than adequate so where is that money going? Regardless of one bed or ten the whole house should be cleaned for next customer and get those spider webs atop and the lint & mice feces below.
And to top it all off when questioned about a missing table cloth I told him (this will be 3rd time) that we placed in the closet as we wanted to keep it clean….and his decision was to file a claim. So petty and rest assured won’t be last time he’ll act in this manner.
Joe, your a good dude but a horrible host/business person. Thanks for the unwarranted stress upon leaving a place I waited six years to get back to.

Every year our family has came for the Minnesota State Fair this year we all wished to stay together. Communication was great with the owner of property. But the property was not the cleanest. Odor of the home was not the best. We are outdoor people and the back deck was full of spider webs as well as debris. The bedding had loose dog hair. Shower in the basement had spider webs. Said there was coffee condiments no condiments. Over nice stay just not clean enough.
