Beautiful old property. Masses of potential if looked after. Incredible view from shared outdoor area and lots of lovely walks in the area. The location couldn't have been better!

This was one of the worst accommodation experiences I have experienced through booking.com. After a 20hour flight and 6 hour drive from Paris, we had to play hide and seek for the key box. If it weren't for the other guests staying at the property, that we were led to believe was a whole secluded house, we would not have found it. Then, once finally inside the house. It smelt of mould and dust and filth. The kitchen was disgusting and grimy. The couches were coated in dust, old food crumbs and some had mould growing on the cushions. The floor was sandy. We then discovered a virtical set of steps which we had to use to access the bedrooms and single bathroom. The photos are very misleading online! The photos show two different bathrooms. There is only one. Not ideal for a group. One would expect at the price, to have bedding and linen on the beds. Not in this case. The two beds that had some bedding, only had a grubby polyester duvet cover on a lumpy, sparse duvet. Our room with double bed had no bottom sheet, only a dirty mattress cover and two tiny pillows in large pillow cases wrapped around them. My sisters room also had no sheet and an awful concave mattress . My Mothers room had no duvets, no pillows and no bed linen whatsoever! The coya carpet was covered in dirt and bits and clearly had not been cleaned in a while. My husband and I arrived a night before the rest of the family. So we spent our first afternoon, after 2 long hall flights and a long drive, trying to buy a data card so that we could contact an owner or manager just to get some bedding or hopefully a refund to be able to stay somewhere that actually welcomed us! That was not easy, as the shops were about to close, and they weren't keen on helping as they had cashed up 20 min before closing... We then got back to the house, finally had post flight showers.
