The pictures do not fully reflect this property. The position is superb and the view better than the photos. A few minutes walk across a couple of roads to the beach, within walking distance to shops, restaurants etc. The property is comfortable yet quite worn and shabby ie sheets on the sofa to cover up I don’t know what – I didn’t look. The floor gets soaked when you use the shower and the washer and dryer are wedged up against the loo so not suitable for those with a fuller figure! The second shower is strangely, in the main bedroom. Cleaning had just finished when we arrived and was fairly clean, however I had to wipe down some of the surfaces as lots greasy finger prints and filthy windows. There were beds everywhere, enough for 8 sardines. We only needed 3 so we had to fold some away and store them, which left little circulation space in the bedrooms. On our last day the manager had the cheek to deliver another fold up bed for us to store. Which brings me to the main issue…The manager… Shortly before we were due to leave for our holiday he cancelled our first night despite being booked for 4 months. It takes a long time to find the right place and with days to go this was impossible and I tried to stay at our previous apartment for another night however it was already booked. I was left with little option but to accept Gil’s offer of alternative accommodation. It was a much cheaper apartment, extremely shabby and uncomfortable costing extra for parking. We were charged the same amount as we were charged for two cleaning fees. We were promised that Gil would sort out the parking and that we could more to the other apartment early. None of this happened and we were effectively ‘homeless’ from 10am until 3pm. The manager of the second apartment told us that Gil asks her for ‘one nighters’ on a regular basis. We have had no refund, excess parking payment or compensation. It appears he does this often. Gil admitted that he had other people staying in the apartment that wanted my first night which he later denied without plausible explanation. He was maximising his profit at my expense and thought if perfectly okay to move us to an inferior place. I would recommend this apartment however be aware of the risks. If you ever have to speak to Gill be prepared to be talked over and not allowed to get a word in. Also check he is not the manager of any other properties you may consider booking as he has no conscience about ruining someone’s holiday.
