About this cottage rental
Situated in Chester, this attractive cottage for $112 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Set within landscaped gardens and adjacent to owners property. Chester is an ideal base to explore the South Shore being only 40 min's from Halifax with its shopping and water front attractions and 30 min's from historical Lunenburg and Mahone Bay The apartment has all the facilities you will need to feel right at home and is a 10 minute walk from both Chester Golf Club, Chester yacht club and the charming village of Chester with all its attractions. Your Private entrance leads you through the mud room into a well appointed and equipped kitchen with dining area. Main living area has Netflix TV, free WIFI and ample seating including one pull out sofa bed. The large bedroom has a queen bed, with all the hanging and storage you could need. Leading off the bedroom is the bathroom which has walk in shower with sliding glass doors. Back outside you will find your private garden with trimmed lawns, flower borders along with a seating area overlooking mature woodland, ideal for BBQ’s, which is available in the garden. In the village you will find restaurants, bars, cafe, banks, NSLC , grocery store and more. Chester has its own beach and salt water lido where you can sit on summer afternoons and listen to bands playing in the local band stand. The Ferry to Tancook Island is located in the village and will sail you across to the island in 40 min's, where you can hire a bicycle and go exploring.

Really appreciate how cozy and quiet it was. Host thought of everything ... even had a generator to provide some power when the power company was doing some post-hurricane repairs! Nice central location to explore Halifax, Peggys Cove and Lunenburg. We had a great experience.

Thank you for a wonderful stay in your beautiful “Holiday Let”. Your self contained cottage is well equipped for both a short or long term stay, with all the necessities for a vacationing traveler. It’s private, very clean, and was very comfortable for the two of us.
Chester is the perfect location to explore Peggy’s Cove and Mahone Bay communities. Combined with your hospitality, our stay was both comfortable and enjoyable. Thank you for suggesting dinner at the golf club which has great food and a great view of the bay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Chester and the surrounding area, which has created lasting memories, which we can proudly say your holiday let is part of.

We enjoyed our stay here in Chester NS the cottage was clean and and very comfortable. The gardens were amazing all around the property. Central to many places we wanted to visit. The owners David and Pam are wonderful hosts, knowledgeable of wonderful places to tour and dine. We highly recommend this adorable place to all visiting the area.

We had a delightful 6 night stay here. The property was extremely clean, the hosts very welcoming and helpful. The location was ideal as a home base for exploring the south shore of NS. We were even able to do a day trip to the Annapolis Valley from here. Highly recommend this gem!

We chose to stay here as it was close to where we were attending a wedding on Hubbards beach. The cottage was beautiful, homey & so comfortable. Close by to Mahone Bay, Peggy's Cove, Lunenburg home of the Bluenose, Halifax & the Citadel. We were able to visit them all. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Dave & Pam are wonderful hosts, we made a point to go meet them. The places to see around us & restaurants they suggested based on our what we wanted to do while we were there were perfect choices.

David and Pam were excellent hosts. Unfortunately Hurricane Fiona hit during our stay but David certainly made sure we were safe and continued to have power using a generator. We would certainly recommend this accommodation.

The property and hosts lived up to their 5 star rating. We toured all of NS over our 4 days and found the food at the 3 places we ate in unassuming Chester to be the best of any of the places we ate.
Hosts were great and made efforts to ensure we were satisfied with all aspects of the stay.
Nice touch on the snacks provided after a long day of travel.
We would definitely stay with them again for any future visits to NS.

This beautifully decorated place is located on an equally stunning street within a charming and surreal community of Chester. Everything is provided to you for a relaxing escape to the quiet country air. Your private patio area adds to the quaint atmosphere provided by owners Pam and Dave. They are the definition of ‘Superhost’ in every way which allows you to fully appreciated and share their piece of paradise. No amenity was overlooked that lead to a very comfortable stay. We had an amazing week and will definitely be back. This home is everything and more as described by the owners. You will not be disappointed.

We had a fabulous 3 days in Chester. Property was perfect for our needs. Manageable short walk to town shops and even shorter walk to the golf course. Communication with owner was great. No complaints was exactly as we hoped and expected.

Super stay
We had a lovely time staying at the Piglet cottage. Very clean, modern, tasteful and attractive decor, kitchen well-stocked for cooking, spacious, comfortable and private, warm and humorous conversations with Dave and Pam. Easy walks along quiet, at times hilly roads and close enough to walk to Chester village. Enjoyed Foc'sle and Rope Loft restaurants.

I return to this property every summer and always have a great stay. The hosts are amicable and always available to answer questions. Check-in and check-out are seamless. The ‘Piglet” is in an ideal location situated in the heart of Chester. It is very comfortable and tastefully decorated that includes a very spacious bedroom and bathroom (ideal for a small family). The bed is comfortable, as is the pull-out couch in the living room. We always sleep well. The “suite” is attached to the host’s property, but it still maintains its privacy and is a fabulous place to return to after a long day of activities. Thanks again, and we will be returning!!

Great place to stay
This was a wonderful place to stay in Chester. The hosts were very friendly, accommodating and helpful, while the cottage was very well appointed, clean, and offered adequate privacy and comfort. There is lots to see and do on the South Shore, and this was a perfect home away from home for us.

Lovely Hosts-Great Location
We had a lovely time in Piglet. David and Pam were very welcoming and helpful. Their home is in a peaceful spot, not far from the golf course. It is a very short bike ride to the trail access which we used to bike to Marriott's Cove and also all the way to Mahone Bay. It was a very hot and humid week, but Piglet was cool and comfortable at night. There were three of us and the only downside to this fabulous place is that the beautiful bathroom is only accessible through the master bedroom. The kitchen is well appointed with a wonderful stove but the fridge is bar size, so try not to bring too many perishables at once. Shopping is nearby so it is easy to replenish perishables often. Overall, a wonderful place to stay.

A tastefully furnished cottage situated in the delightful village of Chester. It was very clean and comes with a private garden and parking space. It is ideally located for exploring Lunenburg, Peggy’s Cove and Halifax. Chester is worth a stroll around and there are some great places to eat.

Dave and Pam were excellent hosts. Piglet had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including grilling in the backyard and cooking indoors. The home is in walking distance of town and driving distance to many other lovely towns. Our time passed much too quickly.

Lovely stay - a real gem!
We enjoyed a relaxing 3 night stay at this wonderful cottage and would highly recommend it. The accomodation is comfortable, cozy and very thoughtfully equipped with all you'll need. The kitchen is lovely, the bathroom is very modern and tastefully renovated and the beds very comfortable. The location is quiet, peaceful and only 5 minutes from the delightful village of Chester. Jones, the resident Welsh Terrier is adorable. We just loved our time at 'Piglet'.

Piglet is a great find in Chester. Wonderful clean apartment tastefully decorated. Walking distance to most places in town including restaurants and handy to explore Lunenburg, Mahone Bay and other tourist areas. Would highly recommend
