As FM fans it is an amazing and unique opportunity to stay in such an iconic place. The boat house is iconic alone and the garden beautiful.The house looks amazing from the garden perspective.The views from the property are breathtaking and it was very private and peaceful.
The inside of the house can be much better maintained without taking away from the history and vintage character.
We found the kitchen oppressive and dirty.The kitchen sink was badly stained which left us with no desire to use anything within the kitchen itself and the smell of spices were overpowering.
There were cobwebs in several rooms and the property windows were dirty throughout. Main bedroom lamps were dusty as were ornaments and books in other rooms.
That said we are still delighted to have had the opportunity to stay at Duck House.
If this house is directly marketed to Queen fans it would be nice to maybe have a little bit of literature within the property that eludes to time spent there by them. If not a Queen fan I would have struggled with this property's presentation.
Not to take anything away from the exterior which was absolutely stunning.
Despite the negatives I wouldn't have missed this magical opportunity to stay at Duck House.
