About this house rental
Located in Smith Mountain Lake, this lovely house for $650 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Welcome! If you want space, comfort, easy lake access with your own private beach, and diverse entertainment/activity amenities - look no further than OUTER BANKS @ Smith Mountain Lake! This modern, four-bedroom home balances luxury with fun and leisure for the whole family. It is a beautiful setting for a secluded family vacation. You'll be hard pressed to find anything that matches what this property has to offer. Most exclusively, you'll have your own large PRIVATE BEACH with beach chairs and umbrella. You'll have your own PRIVATE DOCK with sitting table, as well as a separate lounge area where you can enjoy a secluded cove that looks directly onto the open lake. This means you get a specular view without any public water-craft traffic nearby. Use of the dock for personal watercraft is available upon request. The home offers a huge, open and very WELL-EQUIPPED KITCHEN with upgraded appliances, including a separate ICE MACHINE. There are spices and a variety of oils; everything you need for cooking meals. We have pots and pans, a crock pot and an insta pot, and a large stock pot. For coffee lovers, there is a Keurig and French Press, as well as a conventional coffee maker. We do supply coffee, however, feel free to bring your favorite blend! We also supply all your paper products; Paper Towels, Toilet Paper, Napkins, Kleenex, Trash Bags, Dishwasher detergent, Laundry detergent; all are reasonably supplied for you convenience! The kitchen opens to an adjoining SPACIOUS LIVING AREA that looks directly onto the cove/lake, and is a wonderful place to relax in and of itself. It also offers an excellent indoor gathering spot for family games, music sing-alongs, or quiet reading. Of the four bedrooms, one is on the main first level, and three are located on the lower level. The two king bedrooms are very large and spacious with plenty of room for a playpen and not feel cramped, while the remaining two bedrooms offer plenty of space as well. Outdoor amenities and fun include: Kayaks, Paddle Boards, Bikes (including a Tandem bike!), Pedal Boat, Gas & Wood-burning Fire Pits (2x Gas, 1x Wood). Outdoor games include: Cornhole, Ladder Ball, Bocce Ball, and Tether Ball. Indoor amenities include: 1Gb WiFi, Full size Billiards Table, Ping Pong Table, Foosball Table, Poker Table with Chip Set, Over 40 Different Board Games, Blu-ray DVD player w/ 55" 4k TV (Library of Family Friendly Videos), Karaoke Machine with BT connectivity (so you can sing to any song "Google" can find). With all these amenities and opportunity for activity, you may want to take advantage of our more RELAXING AMENITIES as well. Many enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine, while sitting on the upper deck with the GAS FIRE PIT providing warmth and ambiance. After a day on the lake, some enjoy soaking in the six-person HOT TUB located on the lower patio. Of course, the beach would not be complete without a true WOOD-BURNING FIRE PIT where guests can gaze at the star-filled sky, and tell fun stories while cooking up S'mores. Many report it makes for a perfect evening. The best part is, all of these amenities are INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL - NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE! BONUS: Free linens & INDOOR TOWEL. The house was beautiful and the hosts had thought of pretty much every detail. They had everything you could want there and more. The welcome gift was a great touch, and our family really enjoyed all the kayaks, paddle boards, and outdoor games.

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday! The private beach, climber and pedal boat were huge hits with our boys. The property was spotless and had everything we could have needed, and then some - spectacular views of the lake included! We loved every minute of our stay. Perfect location for families with small children. The beach area is amazing! So much to do to keep you busy throughout your stay with the paddle boards, kayaks, games, etc! Tim and Michelle are very responsive and truly want you to enjoy your stay and have the best time. We will definitely be back!

This was the second time staying on this property. This time as the last time provided us with a great week. The house is perfect, well supplied, and very comfortable. The beach made it very easy for our 9 year old and the kayakers enjoyed getting into the boats from the beach. Very easy working with the landlords.

The weather was less than stellar the first few days but all of the entertainment in the house made up for it! Tim & Michelle were amazing to work with before & throughout our stay. The home was amazing as was the dock & beach area. We've been coming to SML for years & this is by far our favorite place that we stayed.

Our family stayed here for our daughter's graduation from LUCOM and the house was perfect for our large group. The owners were very responsive to our questions. Our family met up for Easter weekend coming from NJ, DC, Virginia Tech, and flying in from Notre Dame. It was the perfect spot. We have spent many vacations in vrbo homes and this was by far our favorite accommodation. The house had everything we could possibly need and more! The kids loved the pool table, ping pong, board games, hot tub, tandem bikes, and kayaks. We had a weekend full of adventures and laughter! Tim and Michelle communicated with us during our visit to make sure everything was exactly as expected. We hope to visit again!

The house had every kitchen item you’d ever need, plus kayaks, plus bikes, plus ping pong, plus foosball, plus lots of games! My favorite being PAC-MAN & the pool table. It was a perfect getaway for me to take my sons family. We were only coming from Roanoke, but you’d a thought we traveled to a far away destination! (PS Best homeowners ever!)

I can’t say enough about what a wonderful house Outer Banks is! Tim and Michelle have gone out of their way to make their guests stay comfortable. The house is beautiful and the lake setting is perfect. I would like to mention all the things they provided for their guests but my review would be too long. Suffice it to say that with all the indoor “extras” you really don’t need the lake. But the lake view is so beautiful it takes your breathe away when you walk in the front door! We had hoped for a warmer weekend with our family but it turned out to be cold and snowy and it was perfect😊. So many wonderful memories were made including a polar plunge that I will never forget!!

The house is beautiful and the location is perfect. It has everything you could want for in a lake house, especially the gentle slope /short walk to the lake, a sandy beach, and a hot tub. Not to mention the endless activities they have available. The house is spacious with plenty of room for everyone to spread out comfortably. The hosts were easy to communicate with and very friendly. You will love staying here. We had a great time and hope to visit again!

I am pretty sure we played every game out there including tetherball (my wife thought she was back at camp), cornhole, spikeball, ping pong, fusbol, pool and tandem bike racing. Spent a ton of time on the kayaks and paddle boards that are available for use. Fun way to watch the sun set. Put all 3 refrigerators and the dedicated ice maker to good use! Got to rinse off at the outside solar shower!! Ate in every night and loved the well stocked kitchen. Rocked the Bose speaker system. Most important is that the owners owners are rock solid and always thinking about creative ways to make the experience even better every year! Hard to top what they have going at Outer Banks. Don’t think twice about it. Rent here if you can. Your family will cherish the memories.

They are always prompt in replying to your questions & concerns. And then there is the house & property, which is PERFECT! Everything you need to make a wonderful & relaxing vacation is there. Our family has been going to the OBX @ SML for several years now. Tim and Michelle always make us feel welcomed and like one of the family. You couldn’t ask for a nicer family. They truly care about making your vacation perfect.
Every year they are adding new things to the house. (New furniture, grills, toys for all ages etc) We have stayed at other houses on the lake but this is by far the most well equipped inside and out.
The beach is a bonus. Our grandchildren spend lots of time playing there and fishing off the dock. It is also a perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunset. Just beautiful!!!!

This was by far the most amazing home we have ever stayed in at Smith Mountain Lake. Everything you could possibly need is exactly where you need it to be. From Age 5 to 69 there was something for everyone. Wonderful sandy beach, every water sport imaginable, bikes, games, movies, perfect family gathering spots, and a kitchen that was a pleasure to cook in. Everything was absolutely perfect . Best family vacation ever!

Another perfect week at the lake!
This was our third year at the house and, once again, it did not disappoint! The house has been amazing from our first stay, and the updates to the furniture (especially the amazing bunk beds my two eldest kiddos share) just bring it even more over the top! Everything we needed was available at the house and communication with Tim (the owner) was seamless. We spent every moment possible on our private beach and in the lake and loved it all! We will be back next year and hopefully every year after that!!

All You Could Want
Our friends put us onto this place so we went in expecting a lot, but I have to say it was still better in person. One thing that stands out about this property is just how well stocked nearly every aspect of this house is, from water sports equipment, bikes, games, toys, kids books, crafting materials, kitchen and pantry supplies, almost you name it. The lake views are incredible and we loved watching the sky at sunset from the dock. Don't hesitate to book this place.

Amazing Property
Our family stayed here with two other families during our kids' spring break. The property is beautiful and has all the amenities you could ever need or imagine. Our 3 families included teenagers and younger children, and there was plenty for each of the age groups to do and stay entertained (movies, bikes, paddle boards, ping pong table, water toys etc.). The host communicated frequently and often about anything we had questions on. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely recommend this property for anyone looking for a Smith Mountain Lake getaway!

Wonderful location!
We spent a few days of our spring break here with our 3 kids and everyone had an amazing time. Our kids loved having the beach to play on and also loved fishing off the dock. The lake is also perfect if you want to take a boat out for the day. The house is well stocked with everything you need for a vacation, including kitchen/cooking items. We will definitely return to this location another time!
