Check in was quick and easy. The lobby looked and smelled like it was recently remodeled. My room seemed to be recently remodeled and was spacious and clean. No microwave but it had a small hidden refrigerator. It was fairly quiet except for the herd of elephants that occupied room above me. Ha!! Unfortunately I was unable to enjoy the patio amenities as it is only open on the weekends.It's an interesting place and I would definitely stay again when in the area.

If you find yourself in Monteagle the Smokehouse is just about your only choice. We were in a cabin, and it brought back memories of state park camping. Rustic and woody without much charm, it was functional. There was a row of more traditional rooms, but we didn't see inside them. The smokehouse itself burned down a while ago, and it doesn't appear that the facility has fully recovered.

The room was a bit outdated, although the bed was newer and very comfortable. Just needed a bed for a short time, and slept very well. I'd stay here again for sure.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and it's a convenient location. However, the heating/air unit is very loud. It kept waking me up. If you want to watch TV, you have to turn the volume way up to hear it over the noisy air unit. Also, very limited TV stations, if you happen to want to watch anything. You do not have the option to log into your own streaming or anything (on the TV).

We found this when planning our travel down to Florida. We enjoyed the cabin so much, we booked it for our return drive. Just wish to make a few suggestions - add a roll of paper towel to the kitchen and we wish the restaurant was open more than just on the weekends. We have already recommended the Lodge to others and we will be back when we are in the area or can plan a trip!

Friendly staff, clean room. Nice lobby for sitting around. My dog and I stayed one night. Nice back yard and the road that goes by the cabins was good for walking. The photo is one of the cabins. We stayed in the lodge.

Ended up staying overnight during a winter storm. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Lodge had nice surroundings and cozy atmosphere, something you'd find in the middle of a forest. Rates were very reasonable, definitely stay here again!

When we arrived the cabin floors and jetted tub was gross. I actually ended up cleaning it myself due to the bottoms of my feet being black from walking on the floors.

Would not give me a copy of my bill. Very unhelpful. Would not call her manager to get help. Sad because I had been wanting to stay there for a long time. Won’t ever do it again.

We stayed in a one bedroom cabin. It was very rustic. The jetted tub took forever to fill up, but me and my husband enjoyed it immensely! There was a full kitchen with cookware but no paper towels or cleaning supplies. There were several weak spots in the floor and we could have used heavier blankets. Firewood was provided but was too damp to start a fire. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it and stay here again.

Window A/C unit is old and temp cannot be adjusted, lots people smoke outside (hence smokehouse apparently), and it blew into our room. Nice staff but poor quality

The hotel is simple, but clean. It was perfect for my group who had tickets to the Caverns. We were able to get a ride to and from the caverns too. It was perfect for our occasion. We decided next time we might get a cabin.
