Understaffed and no maintenance person

I loved the location and price.

Our stay was 5 nights and on the first we reported the Our TV was broken. They put in a ticket but never did anything about it. Housekeeping never came to our room and had to exchange towels with the front desk. No ice machine on any of the floors worked. The pool was dirty all three days went down.

Very Enjoyable!

The Employee was Awesome! The Front Desk Employee,that We checked in with, was Very Friendly, Helpful, Respectful and Professional! He is the Biggest reason that We will be returning back to stay with Yall Again. He is Great, Yall Need to Hang onto Him, He's how Our Family wished Every Hotel front lobby Employee could be like! Thanks Yall

I wouldn’t stay here again.

It was right off the main road.

It was dirty. Carpets were filthy and stained. The shower screw was loose or something and you had to pull the handle out towards you and then turn to make it come on, felt like it was going to break off. Bed was not comfortable at all. There was dirty socks and gloves on the floor near the elevator. Lots of shady looking people hanging around outside also.

It was okay, but will not stay again.

Location was great; close to lots of restaurants, fishing spots, and shopping. Not too far from the beach either. I liked there was laundry facilities on site also, and the pool was indoor. Some of the staff was very nice - despite them being miserable at their jobs. Breakfast was decent. Parking was good. Local fire department has impeccable response time. The fire alarm went off twice during our stay (once during breakfast one morning, once right before we arrived back from a day out.)

Found a dirty baby diaper on the floor in our room. No telling how long it had been there. No ability to cook inside or outside of the hotel. (Could have at least had a grill for guests to use.) Most staff acted very pretentious, as if they were running a 5 star hotel - those that didn’t were obviously miserable from being treated like crap. It is nowhere near being a 5 star hotel, I’d give it a 3 at best. One pretentious acting staff member wreaked of marijuana. Only 1 staff member seemed to be down to earth and not miserable. I was lied to in writing by the hotel before arrival when I asked if I could connect my membership for choice hotels to my reservation. They said yes, then I found out I could not. My kids were also swimming in the pool twice and I was there both times, watching them, but because I wasn’t sitting where I could be seen immediately through the window (they could have seen me through the door both times!), we were accused of not supervising our children, BOTH times. I work with my local juvenile court system so I know how serious even just that accusation can be, and I’m furious over it.

Overall, great place to stay and we would stay there again.

Rooms and common areas were clean and spacious. Breakfast was also great.

There were some noisy groups that would hang out in the hall and talk all night and morning. The staff did address it though.

Surrounding area had lots of activities.

The rooms are old. My tub in the room would not drain properly. No room cleaning service everyday. Just towels and was clothes Chang but even that wasn’t done each day. Trash wasn’t removed daily.

The location is pretty good. The property is right off the highway and is close to a lot of food options. The staff are friendly and helpful! They are the only reason I gave 2 stars and not 1!

Disappointing

The room itself was beautiful!

I didn't like the broken toilet. I didn't like the noise coming from some of the guests. I didn't like the stench that came from a guest who seemed to be a long term stay. It made the 3rd floor smell TERRIBLE. I won't stay at this location again.

Great! But the shower tub wasn't quite wide enouph for a large person to stand in the shower.

It was quiet and the bed was comfortable.

The shower wasn't wide enough across and I did not feel safe in the shower with weak legs, but mostly because the width was not large enough for a big person, giving the feeling that I may fall out. But the length itself was fine.

The staff was the best, thank you ladies and gents keep up the ( great ) work .

That was the best breakfast I'd had in a long time, there was something about the atmosphere that made it pleasant from beginning to end. I will visit this location every time I end up in Charleston for business or pleasure.....I will hope there's an empty room for me.

Friendly and helpfulness of the reception desk staff. Cleanliness of the room, great breakfast choices and very good coffee. Easy to reserve the room.
