This was the third time we stayed at Wyndham in Uzbekistan and the second time in Tashkent. My family and I had amazing stay previously at Wyndham in Tashkent and Bukhara during this trip. This time (28-30 Oct) , however, when we were about to leave Uzbekistan. Our experience was very traumatizing. After long hours of train journey from Bukhara to Tashkent, we wanted to have a smooth check-in in a hotel that previously stayed. During the check-in, however, we were being interrogated by the receptionists regarding where we have previously stayed in Uzbekistan before Tashkent. They demanded us to show all of our hotel bookings for Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara. We were also asked to show them our Uzbekistan visa. It’s a visa free access for us and when we showed them our entry stamps on our passports, one of the receptionists was being condescending and still insisted us to show him our Uzbekistan visa, not the entry stamps. They said it’s a state policy but we were never asked about this in three different hotels we stayed during this trip in Samarkand and Bukhara. We sent an official complaint through email to the senior management of Wyndham Tashkent and they responded by sending us peanuts and fruits as well as an apology card. No verbal apology coming from the senior management. The damage has been done to me and family family. This experience really ruined our holidays and good image of the country.

The hotel's location is perfect, just in the city center and only 15-17 minutes from the airport. You can reach banks, restaurants, grocery (Korzinka market), and a big indoor market (Bazar) in 5 - 10 minutes from Wyndham. The room was very clean, and I loved the iron and the iron desk as a pre-set. It helped me a lot to polish my look for the business meetings. The restaurant inside the hotel was of very good quality, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

At the end of November, the weather was too warm, so the central heating in the room you cannot regulate was too much. Otherwise, everything was excellent!
