These quiet places are right up our street

We wanted a week off the beaten track, and Kodria in the village of Alexandros fitted the bill completely. From the terrace we could watch the animals, sheep goats and cows going out in the mornings, and being called or herded home again in the evenings, or local people crop picking, all with a backdrop of the mountains. A traditional way of life, I wonder how long it will last for. We were able to get away from it all , or drive anywhere on the island from this base in the mountains of rural Lefkada. Village tavernas are around in the nearest villages. Lefkada Town and the coast are easily accessible in terms of time and mileage, but some of the roads and hairpins are interesting to say the least. The Compensation is the most magnificent views on many occasions.

This is a strange one. The oven clearly could work, because we got it on just once through trial and error, via the timer, but it soon cut off and that was it for the week. We did enquire of the friendly and pleasant owner. However he admitted that he did not know how it worked either. There was no instruction manual, so this would have been a big problem for anyone who wished to mostly eat at home during their stay. Having said that the property was clean and fresh, and all the appliances seemed to hardly have been used.

Exceptional location for someone who prefers piece of mind.

The comment is not for the premises, but for the road. I wouldn't suggest the road from Nikiana although it is the shortest. Before visiting the premises, you could ask Dimitris.

Amazing. Memorable

We had wonderful time. It is a bliss to sit in the terrace and listen to the pure nature away from the crowd. Dimitris, owner of the house is a great person and was pleasure to have met him. He renovated the house beautifully. Definitely recommend. Maria's Tavern nearby offers amazing food and warm friendship.
