Radisson Blu Hotel, Bonn

I booked a Junior Suite and it was fantastic. The room was very spacious, with a separate toilet and a really nice view. But the gym facilities were the biggest surprise! It’s much bigger and better equipped than any hotel gym I’ve ever seen, with a huge selection of machines. honestly, it almost felt bigger than the gym I’m subscribed to at home. The pool is also quite large for a hotel, very nice, and a great place to relax. Overall, I had a great stay and was really impressed by the facilities.

I woke up a little late one morning, and when I came back later, the room still hadn’t been made. I eventually had to go and ask for housekeeping myself. I also noticed that some of the amenities, such as the soap, coffee and water, hadn’t been replenished. For a Junior Suite I would have expected a bit more attention to those details.

Great view and clean room

Staff were unhelpful with my booking. Waited over 2 hours for my room because “it wasn’t in the system yet.” Had to constantly go and check if there was an update without them coming to me first. First told me I would have to cancel my stay and pay their upcharged rate (100€ more!!) even though it was their failure to find my booking. Was then finally given a room after waiting for forever and getting the manager involved. Not friendly, no apology for making me wait, did not even offer a water.

- staff interaction specifically with a new young, male reception employee that was working at night from 30/08 to 31/08/26 (we believe he said he started a week ago) provided a very professional, quick and comfortable service - we hope he gets the pay he deserves or otherwise should get a raise - comfortable beds - good shower facilities within the room

- hot steam room didn’t work for all days we stayed there (was a dealbreaker for us), and also no info/sign was present that it didn’t even work (yet naturally included in the advertisement for the hotel) - foot bath within the spa facilities smelled off-putting - textile sauna (where you can go in with swim clothes) wasn’t very hot (actually just felt warm and I heard another women that was in it during the same time making a similar comment) - all rooms have windows glass between bedroom and bathroom shower (some have in-transparent glass and that’s great - some rooms have transparent glass and therefore give pervy/vibes - and this is also never really mentioned by the hotel in the advertisement) When asked, employees responded that there are no rooms without those windows between bathroom and bedroom.

Location, spa

Reception staff, room was not as well as I remembered it. There is no constancy in the rooms, what makes it every time a bit disturbing. Bar food is relative expensive, and average… not much options near by.
