Residenz am Dom Boardinghouse Apartments

The apartment is only a couple of minutes to the main station and The Dom. It is right in the centre of the city. Everything are near by. The rooms are large and very comfortable. It is a great place to explore the city.

It can be noisey at night if the windows are opened. The bathroom is a wet room. I would prefer a shower cubical or a bath. It may be very hot in the summer because there is no air conditioning.

The room is actually a full apartment so it has a lot of space with a separated living room and kitchen. There is also a balcony, which is great for smoking people. Beds and pillows super comfy, and everything was cleaned daily. We had good sleep nights during our stay. I also need to highlight the fitness area with a swimming pool, jacuzzi, gym and sauna. We really enjoyed it. I also appreciate the staff, they are super friendly and helpful. Location is also great, around 5 minutes from the Dom Cathedral and central station. I would definitely recommend it to anyone coming to Cologne.

Location is very central. Good facilities including a small gym and swimming pool. On site restaurant. Decent shower in bathroom.

Uncomfortable hard beds with really hard pillows. Would have been helpful if they had provided a little fresh milk in the fridge. 2 teabags provided for a 5 day stay - not replenished. Very minimal room housekeeping. Noisy with street noise unless windows are tightly closed.

A superb Apartment located within an OAP sheltered acommodation centre. The staff were superb and all spoke a good level of English. The location could not have been better: only a few minutes walk from the cathedral and centre of Cologne. The apartment was very spacious and benefited from a reasonably large balcony on which we were able to eat our evening meal. We asked for the use of a microwave which cost an additional 15 euros (for 5 nights) but was very useful. We were allowed to use the swimming pool and gym facilities which were welcomes extras.

A bit noisy in the neighbourhood due to ongoing building works nearby but it did not spoil our enjoyment and it was quiet during the night.
