Ocean Maya Royale - Adults Only - All Inclusive

Amazing time at Ocean Maya Royale. The staff really make the experience at this resort better versus all the others. Special thank you to the most amazing entertainment team member at OMR, Viridiana, from the entertainment team is amazing! Also, bar tenders Yovanetti, Miguel, and Johny from the bar team are great too! I will be coming back.

The grounds of the hotel were excellent, well maintained, the staff were very helpful, Tatiana and the Concierge Team were always there to help as well as the waiters and bar staff. Room was a nice size and clean, good housekeeping. The four of us ate one evening at the Mayan Night show, and one of our daughters had a meal that she left most of but was then very sick all night, needing the bathroom every 30 minutes, and to make things worse we had arranged and paid for the four of us to go on the Talum Tour the next day at 7.30am, but our daughter Courtney was still to sick to go on this trip, on notifying the Privilege Staff they informed us that we could not be reimbursed the $90.00USD for Courtney's illness, caused by the food from the hotel dinner the night before, unless we produced a "Medical Certificate" off a doctor that we would have to pay for, not happy with this hotel policy.. Food was not to 5-Star standards that we have experienced in the past and the entertainment offered each evening was well below the standards expected of a 5-Star Resort, we fell that the Ocean Maya Royale in Playa del Carmen is more of a 3-Star+ resort than a 5-Star.
