The Carlton Tavern Hotel

Liked the location, close to trains and buses. Also good to have a pub below for meals after big days sightseeing. The heated towel rail was great for drying hand washed clothes. It was also nice being near the park

The temperature of the shower was barely warm enough and we couldn't work out how to make it warmer

Nice room, quiet, good location

The access with the code was a bit fiddly

Everything. It was stunning and a very good key/access system.

the location was convenient for us

the internet did not reach our room on the second floor; when I asked about it, I was told that the internet was working fine… but it isn’t able to reach that room. I had to use my personal hotspot in the end. If you aren’t computer savvy, you might have a problem. The safe was locked shut so couldn’t be used. And checkout is noon but the app to open to doors ended abruptly at 10:30am so we had to ask the staff to let us into the room. This is a self-service “hotel” so you have to be very independent to enjoy it.
