Hillhouse

The lady who greeted me on arrival was so friendly and welcoming, she was very helpful and gave me great advice about where to go and how to get there. It is a family ran hotel/guesthouse and the family are lovely people. I only stayed one night as I had vehicle trouble and had to book somewhere last minute. Very happy with the price as well, compared with other hotels in Edinburgh this was fantastic value for money. The room was spotless and the bed was super comfortable, so much so that I slept longer than I was supposed to. The shower was hot and powerful. I 100% recommend staying here if you are visiting Edinburgh. I know I will definitely stay when I'm there next. Thanks. Mark Scott

location is brilliant if you need to get to the airport

Room was a little cold, but it was managable

The hosts were very friendly, accommodating and helpful. For which I'm very grateful. The location is ideal for travelling to city centre. I will definitely be booking a stay with them again for my next trip to Edinburgh

There wasn't anything I didn't like

cheap bed with no breakfast, for quick practical trip, no much facilites. good wifi, good storage space good shower with strong flow current working kettle close to bus station takes you directly to Waverly

door key are difficult to use no lift tiny room not very clean bed is not comfortable quite cold even in summer, the heater does not work TV does not work toilet seat is quite high and not comfortable very minimal towels provided no availability or access to kitchen no breakfast curtains are quite shallow don't block the day light, it gets very bright early morning in summer, could not sleep well
