Definitely great location, it is a central location to many things! Beds were comfy. House was clean. Appreciated the front porch and back porch! Only small things that we didn’t care for, the code number to unlock the door was really long, too long to remember. And they didn’t have small things like salt, pepper and nonstick spray in the kitchen. And since everything was expensive to purchase at the local stores, but then again I always support local businesses. The air conditioning in the one bedroom squeaked and made awful noises while we tried to sleep. Like I said little things and wouldn’t stop me from staying again! And we made wonderful memories!

I loved the pillows. The rest... 1. The air conditioner in the second bedroom, squeaked and groaned, to the point where I had to shut it off. While it was disappointing that it rained the entire time we were there, it was fortunate because I didn't have to run the AC. It made it impossible to sleep, still wanting fresh air, I opened the window, which had no screen! not cool in Florida where there are bugs, lizards, snakes. 2. The showerhead in the bathroom desperately needs to be replaced. It's like getting a shower from a squirt bottle. 3. Having a hot tub was great, especially since the weather was cool and mostly rainy. However, it's clear that the pool is not managed professionally, as the chemicals were way too high! Our skin was burning and red, and it was not from the heat. A fact proven when my daughter-in-law's new swimsuit became completely faded with a tie dye sort of look after use. I have a Ralph Lauren swimsuit that I paid a tremendous amount of money for nearly 15 years ago, which was worth it, as it has been in perfect condition for the duration, until now. My record-setting swimsuit longevity has come to an end, thanks to the record-setting chemical levels. It's now faded and lacking elasticity. I should be reimbursed but I'm not holding my breath. 4. Extra blankets should be available. While it should be 80° in December, sometimes it is not. 5. The bathroom, which is right off the kitchen, does not have a vent/fan, nor does it have an operable window! The window crank was broken, taped, and literally painted over. You can imagine the pleasant aromas coming from daily functions. This was awful. Put in a fan!! 6. The sofa/pull out should not be considered a bed. For my 24 year old son, it was like sleeping in a giant bowl; low in the middle, and high on the sides. It was terribly uncomfortable. If you're going to offer a third double bed, invest in a decent pull-out sofa. If not, at least invest in a single cushion sofa with removable back cushions to serve as a solid single bed. Cheap junk. There is also no AC in this area, and the windows don't open - not ideal for Florida. This "3rd sleeping area" also leaves absolutely nowhere to hang out as a group, except the kitchen table. Unless you want to dismantle someone's personal area often. 7. The floor is buckled in spots… Real toe stubbers. Other rotted areas of the home are covered in paint. 8. The lighting in this home is horrendous. It became humorously known as our "prison lighting". It's harsh, visually cold, and totally uninviting. I actually had to move a small lamp from the bedroom and place it in the kitchen, so as to not be optically assaulted. Good lighting is essential to creating a cozy space. Its a home, not an operating room. The lamp in the living room had a broken, crooked shade, like a cheap, dated Motel 6. Not pretty. 9. Pillows are terrific. Honestly. 10. Small back yard is cozy. 11. The new W/D is great. Overall, the house is just OK.

We took our family here for my son's 21st bday celebration and loved the home and location. Perfect for our trip! We had a great time. No one can have a bad time in the Keys... Only feedback on this little cute old home would be to replace the AC unit in the 1st bedroom next to bathroom. Beware of old home shower does not have great hot water which is not a surprise if you like old homes. Last, this is not a huge deal but owner should put a smart TV in the home and drop the cable with 6 channels. Although none of visit Key West to watch TV, it is nice to have option after traveling a long way upon arrival and for rainy days. Just a thought for those who may enjoy a Netflix type break in between excursions and Duval crawls :) Would definitely recommend this home to friends and family!

I loved this property from the moment we drove up! Its actually more charming in person then it is in the listing photographs. Just a small little bungalow a few steps off Duval and perfect for a long weekend. The only negatives to this rental was the limited parking, which we got lucky and were able to park right in front, and since it's a walk or Pedi-cab ride to almost anywhere on the island i really can't complain. We had issues with the television which was something I read on other reviews and assumed it would have been addressed prior to our arrival. it's an older TV with a cable box and if I'm being honest could probably just be upgraded to a smart TV so folks can just use their preferred streaming service and a long range antenna for some local channels would be great. I emailed the management company and got some odd and useful response. It ended up not being a big deal because first off we didn't go on vacation to watch television, and the time we did need a little vegging out I just grabbed my iPad and used it for entertainment. The thing about a Roku tv or something though is that at least you would be able to have some music or something on in the house while you relaxed or sat on the porch. The only other "complaint" I had was that we used the hot tub to just relax and unwind and it was very overtreated with chlorine which I could smell and feel, but it ended up bleaching my bathing suit top. Most importantly though, I'd stay here again.
