We adored the cabin. Such a fine and unique experience. We loved the grounds even more. Serene, beautiful riverfront lawn and the hot tub on the deck overlooking the river was just icing on the cake. The hostess was perfect. We hope to return some day even though we live very far away.

We were so looking forward to staying at this place. It's a great looking cabin, very clean, warm and we enjoyed using the firepit near the river, hot tub and fireplace, however we perceived the place to be secluded, as based on the photos in the listing. Upon reaching there, we discovered the property is not secluded as we expected. Across the field, there is a house up on the hill in plain view. The occupants of that house were constantly driving their plethora of vehicles, including a loud dirt bike, up and down the side road all day and night, driving to the house across the river of the property, that it became very annoying. On our last night there, the house across the field started a huge bonfire that was close to the height of the house. If you're looking for peaceful quiet and total seclusion, this place is definitely not for you.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the log cabin! The property is so picturesque. The location is both convenient to amenities in town, yet it's also far enough way from main roads to feel so private and in the midst of nature. The towering evergreens and babbling river flowing in the backyard are a real bonus to this getaway. The hot tub on the deck overlooks the river and it's so enjoyable to be immersed in peaceful nature all around you. The log cabin was super clean, comfortable, cozy, warm, and the owner was very communicative and helpful. Our kids loved the log cabin, and there was plenty of room outside for our dog to run around, too!

Everything from the aesthetic, to the hot tub, to the frogs singing us to sleep every night, was absolutely wonderful. This is such a beautiful property and we will definitely be visiting again! Thank you so much, Heather.

Relaxing, rejuvinating, quaint.
Amazing grounds with gorgeous river steps from the river. Hot tub, sauna, fireplace... We loved it!

We really enjoyed our winter getaway in this cozy cabin and are looking forward to coming back in warmer weather to enjoy the river! We particularly enjoyed using the sauna and appreciated the little chocolates on our pillows!

The house was beautiful. I couldn't have asked for more for a quiet weekend away and it was such a good bonus that the dog got to come with! Every question I had got answered same day and the check in process was so easy and Heather had the house feeling so welcoming on our arrival with lights on and a basket of s'mores makings. Would definitely stay again!

Great getaway from Portland, Olympia or Seattle. The dogs loved playing in the field. Great bird and wildlife watching. The river sounds wonderful while soaking in the hot tub. Kitchen had everything we needed. The king bed was sooooo comfy. A lovely rustic vibe and wood fireplace made this place a favorite for us.

We had a wonderful time relaxing in this peaceful and beautifully maintained property. The host was very responsive, directions were clear, and the cabin was well-stocked with pretty much everything we needed. The hot tub and sauna were both excellent and most appreciated on a cold rainy January day. Would definitely return.

We had so much fun relaxing at this property.
Other than a scary encounter with an unknown wild animal on the way back from the sauna, the weekend was a dream come true.
The amenities were wonderful and the place was beautifully decorated.
Thank you for letting us stay!

We arrived in the evening, and it was so nice to have lights on and candles burning - so welcoming! Our stay was perfect, with excellent communication from the owner too! We'd definitely come back again!

Everything was great. Very private and quiet but still still close to town. Hosts were communicative and helpful. Cabin was gorgeous and the river was peaceful. We look foward to going back.

Very private (at first felt uncomfortable about house on hill), but not a big deal. House was great, nice touches to make us feel welcome. Suggest labeling light switches and directions for fire. We were going to start it but weren’t sure if had draft or we needed to do something other than light it. Access to stream from back yard was delightful, and very beautiful.

Everything was lovely and it is obviously a well cared for property. Heather was extremely responsive and all the little touches and communications were great . We and the pups enjoyed the pasture and river, and even made it in the canoe for a glimpse of river otters. Definitely a place we'd love to return to.

If you want a warm inviting environment with ALL the right amenities, this is your place. We entered our cabin to lit candles and soft twinkling lights on staircase and in great room. Our host supplied many coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and hot cider drink options AND even had all the ingredients for S’Mores (3 Hershey Bars, box of graham crackers, and huge bag of marshmallows) AND you could roast your S’Mores in the inside fireplace or outdoor fire pit. You could look forever and never find another jewel like this cabin. The cabin is beautifully decorated and modern and the owners are warm, caring people. Don’t forget the hot tub too! As you can tell, my husband and I ❤️ This property and plan on visiting it again!

I brought a friend out to the PNW from Colorado for her first time and rented this property for a short but perfect part of our trip exploring the coastal areas. I also brought my little dog who I rescued from Mexico and who very much does NOT enjoy city life. Overall, I couldn’t have imagined a better trip and I can’t WAIT to come back to visit this space. Here’s my overview:
The area: Cute, quaint area and small town. Grocery store had everything I could think of. McDonakds near by for fries and sprite after a long day at the coast. It took us about 1 hour to drive to Long Beach. The drive is an adventure on its own.
The property: Private but not secluded. Did not interact with anyone around and felt we were in our own world. A TON of space to run my dog and watch the wind sway trees. The river is clear and cold but perfect to cool off in. Sounds of bubbling water and birds. Amazing, truly.
The cabin: Gorgeous. Stunning. I’d say a good amount of space for 4 adults or 2 adults with 3-4 kids and pet. Kitchen has everything you could need to cook a big meal and is beautiful. Clean, very clean. Washer and dryer by entrance is super convenient.Bathroom downstairs is pretty and near the entrance with a big tub in case you need to wash sand off in the big tub. Huuuge dining table is great for a holiday spread. King bed upstairs feels like the biggest bed I’ve been in. Very comfy linens and pillows. Large TV for movie snuggles. Bathrooms well appointed and shower is spacious and feels nice! Floor heaters are a nice added touch here.
Amenities: Huge hot tub in a pretty spot to enjoy the river. Not too buggy in September. Warm and clean. Lots of towels provided. Sauna is amazing especially after a long day at the Coast. We didn’t play yard games but wish we would have. The yard is so enjoyable to just be in. The fire pit is perfect. It appears there is a woodshed with an ax and you could chop your own wood. I, am a city girl however, so I bought some at the store up the road. A s’mores kit was provided with enough for 6 people!
As I mentioned this was a brilliant and perfect trip and stay. I’ll definitely be booking again and often.

Everything about our stay here was excellent. If you want a quiet, somewhat secluded place away from city life, then look no further. A small river provides a simple, satisfying ambiance to the outdoor areas of the property. The value offered with the amenities present is almost unmatched. Chocolates on our pillows and complementary firewood really seal the deal. Thank you for providing a great experience!

When our grandson picked out this property to rent we thought OK… But when we got there what an absolute delight! We had a lovely stay and are looking forward to coming back again and again. Our host Heather was most gracious and was very responsive to any and all questions. Thank you so much for having such a lovely place for us to stay.

We loved our stay at Heather's cabin. The cabin is located on the banks of a gentle river, perfect for wading or floating. The property is huge, with a massive field, a sauna, a big barn, probably used for events and an out building stocked with all kinds of games. The wrap-around deck features a wonderful hot-tub and a row of inner tubes, a canoe and a paddle board. Inside the house is filled with all kinds of lovely touches, including candles, fixings for S'mores, a cool tin bathtub, and comfortable beds. It's serene and charming. We were content to just hang out there one day and on another day made the trek to Long Beach (a little over an hour away) where our two pups wore themselves out on the beach. Heather was a breeze to communicate with and was always pleasant. We very much hope to book a return visit and highly recommend this place.

We are so thankful to have booked this spot to celebrate our very special day. Heather’s communication and attention to detail was so appreciated.
The space was just absolutely beautiful! It was clean, and such an inviting vibe.
We couldn’t have been more thankful to have booked this spot and it will forever share a special place in our hearts

Heather was an amazing host. very prompt responses to texts. Pretty much everything was self explanitory or spelled out in the house manual. The closest towns of Raymond and South Bend are historic and quaint and frozen in time. Not much to see and dining was space but we planned to stay mostly on the property and brought all our provisions to do so. My wife and I celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary here with our two kids ages11 and 14. I know. How romantic (insert eyer role) but here's what surprised us. The kids had plenty to do exploring and playing on the property. Fishing in the river. Playing games in the meadow. Taking saunas. Hot tubbing and swimming in the river. We had all the time we needed to enjoy each others company. We prepared wonderful dinners each night. Bbq'd on the nice grill provided. Each evening we had a campfire either outside or a cozy fire inside in the beautiful rustic river rock fireplace. I could think of a few other ways an anniversay could be spent but this was really perfect. We were able to relax with each other and share good times with the family that we created and love. It really was a magical four days.
Heather has done a fantastic job with her property and it's fun and relaxing for all. I can't even imagine how romatic this cabin is without kids. : )

What a great place. We enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the river (we had river otters come by every morning and evening) and exploring the property. The hot tub was nice and the bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. Check-in time on Sundays is not until 5:30pm (rather than 4pm), so we'll probably book a different start day next time. Great communication with the host. We hope to return soon.

Wonderfully peaceful property and top notch hosts. Clean and well appointed, AC worked great in the heat. Hot tub was great to star gaze from. Our friends could not make it again so it was just Mike and I, and we felt like the only 2 people on earth, so relaxing! Highly recommend!

My wife and In-laws from out of town and I stayed here for a few days. Absolutely wonderful property with great seclusion and plenty of open space outside for the dog to run around. The hot tub and fire pit were amazing and the cabin was beautifully decorated with everything you needed already in the house. I could not recommend this spot more, absolutely fantastic! Looking forward to coming back one day!

We rented this wonderful cabin to get away from the fireworks, as our oldest dog has a really hard time with the noise and goes through a lot of trauma twice a year.
This place did not disappoint. What a lovely piece of property.
We all dunked in the refreshingly cold river behind the house, and taught our youngest dog to swim, albeit only for 5 seconds, but boy did she enjoy leaping into the water and then chase her brother around the grass.
We were visited by racoons every night, deer every morning and even the neighbor's dog said hi one afternoon.
The hot tub/cold river combo was amazing...we did not have time to try out the really nice-looking sauna.
Did some wonderful day trips to Cape Disappointment, a nearby winery via a rail to trail, and a lovely hike near Lake Syliva—all followed by wonderful homecooked meals every night and some lovely fireside chats with old friends.
Note to fellow travelers: The kitchen truly has only the most basic dishes & cookware, so pack what you need when you come here and refer to the binder for your WIFI needs.
The cabin and the property are otherwise incredibly well maintained, very clean and Heather made us feel very welcome at their place.
Lookign very much forward to coming back.

We wanted to get away from busy life for a few days. This cabin was just the perfect place to do that. It is very cozy and private. There is no city or street noise, just the sounds of birds and the river . Very relaxing

From the first creaks of the door upon entry to waking up in the extraordinarily comfortable bed on the last morning, we enjoyed every minute of our time here. The worst part was packing up to go home. We even curtailed some of our sightseeing in the local area to enjoy more time at this lovely place. We've booked another property with Heather before, and she was once again so responsive to our questions and provided everything we needed for a great stay. The cabin's aesthetic is so cozy and rustic but is still well stocked with more than you'll need. We did not expect the s'mores kit or the popcorn (which were appreciated and enjoyed.) We had very rainy weather, but the hot tub and sauna made the drizzle irrelevant. The outdoor games housed in the little shed would have been amazing in nicer weather, but we used the board games found in the house to pass some rainy time. We also used the fishing tackle to try our hand at fishing in the river during a rain break (no luck but still had fun.) The kitchen had everything we needed to cook tasty local seafood and there were plenty of coffee and tea pods to keep us warm. The dogs absolutely loved running and exploring the huge meadow, which was recently mowed to our surprise. The meadow also made flying our newly bought kite easy. The stairs to the master loft were a bit steep and narrow for our old dog to navigate, but there was a baby gate at the bottom which gave us piece of mind, and the open loft allowed us to hear them if they needed out during the night. The quiet neighborhood allowed us to enjoy the sounds of nature and we enjoyed watching a bald eagle hunt the river each morning. Of course the sun came out on our final morning and we didn't want to leave, but we begrudgingly packed up and left at the last possible minute. You know the stay was good when you aren't in any hurry to leave! Thanks again to Heather for allowing us to stay and enjoy this magical place. We would love to return.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay very much. The hot tub, suauna, little creek/river out the back door make it a cabin experience with resort options. Our dog loved the cabin and property even more. Great place we plan to visit again. Great host.

My wife, two adult children and I stayed over Mother’s Day weekend. Although it was pouring rain most of the time, we all enjoyed the location, the cabin, fireplace, hot tub, sauna and the property during breaks from the rain. We saw a few deer and enjoyed food from the local restaurants. A perfect place to celebrate Mother’s Day. We look forward to returning when the weather is better and enjoy the river on the back of the property.

This place is even better than it appears in the photos. The house and property are charming and private. It made a great base for several day trips to the beach, Cape Disappointment, and the Olympic National Forest. Everything you could want for a very relaxing vacation, right on the property -- a hot tub and a rocker on the back deck where you can sit and watch the river, a sauna, lots of outdoor games, etc. We had a wonderful 38th anniversary at this beautiful cabin.
