It happened to be a very cold day and night so I did expect the room to be warmed up by my known arrival time and I expected some way of warming the bed and bathroom.

Our stay was a dream. The hosts are lovely, very accommodating and friendly whilst remaining discreet and mindful of their guests’ privacy. The house is beautiful and warm. The bed was very comfortable and we slept like babies. Generous portions for a delicious breakfast ideally complemented a perfect stay in Masterton.

Cold no lock for outside of door meanin if you are not there anyone else can enter. It was cold. No electric blanket. Bed squeaky Not acceptable bathroom ( with same lack of security) no heater , and having to leave your room and cross the hall to access is not acceptable for anyone and especially for price charged. Current advertising is misleading

We found Leon & Kinnie very friendly and accommodating. Leon was very helpful with our family history.

very warm welcome from Kinne and Leon. A beautiful room in a beautiful home. A very very comfortable mattress. Great shower pressure. It was nice to be asked to drinks on Saturday Evening and we enjoyed the chat.

We should have brought pillows from home as everyone has different needs when it comes to pillows and the pillows were a bit firm. We felt a bit self conscious when we realised that our bathroom was attached to the master bedroom and could hear the owners talking. We weren’t sure why but the internet through the TV kept buffering and I had similar issues using my tablet at the same time on Friday night. We didn’t use the TV on Saturday and my device worked fine.

The villa is large and packed with beautiful asian pieces of furniture and ornaments. Breakfast was delightful. The fruit/muesli/yoghurt was tasty, and the option of bagels/toast or cooked breakfast was more than adequate. The room was large and well appointed. Leon was a charming host who made an excellent effort to make us feel very welcome. We would certainly stay again.

We were very pleased we got to stay at such a beautiful property, and enjoy hospitality from such a welcoming host.

It can be tricky with bedding in Autumn (or Spring). You often do not need a thick warm duvet, but you need something more than just a sheet. Honestly you have to think hard, if there was any thing that we didn't like. SOOOO much to love at this home :-)

it said private bathroom and I assumed it meant en-suite but you have to get dressed again in the middle of the night and go out into the hall to use bathroom facilities. I think this needs to made clearer. also I couldn’t get heater to work.

Paid extra for a very nice breakfast which was value for Money. Location close to CBD. House was a historic homestead, very well maintained by Leon and Kimmie. Great hosts.

A comfortable,charming,older home with real character in an excellent location. Kinnie and Leon were wonderful, caring hosts and very interesting to chat with. Delicious breakfast provided that gave a good ‘kick-start’ to the day.

Beautiful old house with character and a wonderful breakfast ! Comfortable bed too. Our bathroom was outside of our room just down the hall.

Lovely property with some interesting history, Leon & Kinnie looked after us well and provided a great breakfast to start the day off. Our room was delightful and very comfortable. This is a great location for exploring the local area and quiet as well. We enjoyed chatting with our host's on the varanda in the evening. Thank you both for making us so welcome.

The breakfast was first rate, and the hosts interesting and very lovely people. The breakfast room showed off the quality of the home.

We had the studio which looked like a converted garage. it was comfortable and adequate although lacking the character of the main part of the home. There were some internet and TV issues which the hosts assisted us to overcome.

Breakfast was really great - croissants, fruit, cereal, omelette, toast, cheese, ham ... Really filling and set us up for the day. Kinnie and Leon are exceptional hosts, knowing how to balance warm, friendly, informal welcome with efficiency and knowing when to step back. Extremely interesting busy professional people, and we would have liked to stay and chat longer. Nothing was too much trouble and we soon felt as if we were in our own home. The bed was firm and wide, and the internet connection was fast and reliable. It was excellent value for money and we would go back without hesitation. I was sorry to leave.

Such a small detail, but the shower curtain was a little narrow for the bath so we had a bit of a struggle to not flood the floor!

Maybe the parking area was a bit narrow for a bigger car, but I thought everything really was quite fine.
