The restaurant is excellent, I returned there even when staying at another hotel in Amsterdam a month later. My standard double-room was spacious and entirely modern with all needed amenities - nothing missing.
While the hotel is very good, it is a great pity that it is merely a modern hotel inside, when on the outside, the building is beautiful – it is a reminder of the Grand Hotel it once was from the early 1900s. It is very sad that the entire interior is completely modern; once you enter the hotel, you could be anywhere in the world. Nothing in the rooms, in the restaurant or lobby reflects the timeless elegance of the old grand hotel it once was in the city of Amsterdam.

Close to the centre and easy to locate.
Loud noise in the room at night that made it exceptionally difficult to sleep. Despite complaining to hotel staff nothing done to improve this. Unable to relocate us due to a full hotel, which is understandable, but promised a free breakfast in the morning which was not obtained. Contacted following on from this by management and promised a refund of 15% which has not materialised. A shame overall because the hotel itself was lovely, just wanted to be able to sleep!
