Helpful staff and a good location. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.
Toilet and wash hand basin were blocking when used. Very helpful maintenance man did offer to move us to a different room but it was only for one night and we were very tired after a very long 9 hour drive from Glasgow. Curtain rail came off when no one was near it.

Property was clean and as its off main road was quiet.
Breakfast was very good.
We could hear people talking in adjacent rooms so sound proof not great. Small lift only has capacity for 2 people and we were on 3rd floor so a bit inconvenient having to wait for lift at busy times. Check in time at 3pm was busy and had to wait in a queue for quite a while as only 2 staff managing check-in.

As always, friendly service especially Brasserie and breakfast staff.
Excellent food
Would like a choice of crispy bacon rather than soft

The staff
The property was in dire need of modernisation , the was supposed to be a “plus” hotel and we were supposed to be in a superior room? I hate to think what a standard room looks like!
