The freshly cooked fish shaped pancakes were nice.
Fresh fruit was good. The fruit salad too sweet. The coffee was nice
Too ma y flies! Need some of those spinning 'shoo flies'on the tables.
I thought there would be a nice sandy beach, but the little bit of sand was dirty and had broken glass on it.
It would have been nice to have the light switch a d electric socket next to the bed. Service was friendly and efficient! I enjoyed the pool! The room was very clean, the bed comfortable.

On the beach with great views. Close to airport, walk into town, just next door to small shopping area with excellent bakery and cheap takeaway just opposite. Comfortable rooms, friendly staff
Restaurant overpriced
Rooms very basic, but it is just a 2* hotel
Expensive overall but is that just Vanuatu in general?

Right on the water in room 303
No wifi in room

Lovely rooms around a pool with a seafront terrace. It's a great location, just on the edge of the town centre without being right in the main street (where things are noisier). It's an easy walk along the seafront into the town. Very friendly staff, good choice for Port Vila.
Breakfast buffet selection is fairly limited (although you can order cooked items at extra cost).

The staff and the waterfront location made this a lovely hotel to stay at. We were particularly impressed by Elva, Maureen and Lily but all the staff were lovely and helpful. This was the best thing for us. and the expresso coffee was terrific!
The room was dated. The fan didn't work , nor did the hair-dryer and the sliding door was a problem..all easy fixes. Also the main front door lock and handle was loose..didn't feel secure enough. All easily fixable.

Excellent value for the price and well located to visit range of restaurants. Great staff.
Little bit noisy due to bars either side.

We had an amazing stay at Moorings Hotel. The accomodation was exceptional! Perfect location, the view of the coast from the pool was beautiful and it was only a short walk into town.
The staff is what really made our stay so special, they were all so lovely and helpful. We had never visited Vanuatu before and they gave excellent recommendations on what to do and how to best get around.

The beach and dinner was incredible. Try their T Bone steaks. They were huge. My wife loved the spicy chicken wings.
Maybe it was a cultural difference, but it seemed that staff laughed to themselves while serving us. It seemed a bit rude and we didn't feel comfortable. It was unprofessional. The wifi did not work in the room. So we couldn't watch movies or do any work on our laptops. So we had to come downstairs a lot. My honest opinion, it felt to me as they were just here to get a paycheck and go above and beyond only if you gave them a tip. I tested that theory out on the first night. When they knew I tipped, they would go above and beyond with their service. To help your organisation out, be genuine. Island people are so friendly and nice. When you're money hungry, we know it as people. We booked for 6 nights. We left after 2 to another resort.

Simple buffet breakfast, but very nice.
Friendly staff, who remember who you are.
Sometimes loud music at night from next door bar.

The hotel is well-located, close to the airport (which means cheaper taxi fares), walking distance to the city center and has some nice restaurants around. Rooms have A/C and hot water. The staff is really nice. Rooms have mosquito nets, but they have some holes.
The breakfast is very disappointing, with little variety. The only warm item are pancakes, which are sometimes undercooked. The hotel is by the beach, but the area isn't good for snorkeling. They do have some basic paddle boards and kayaks for rent. WiFi is non-existing in some of the waterfront rooms.

It’s in a great spot and we had a harbour view room which was lovely with a big balcony.

The staff are the best thing about this property. Always helpful and attentive and especially so when the plane broke so we could not get home and had to spend an additional three nights. As ‘layover’ guests we were housed and fed by the hotel who seamlessly organised this via Air Van for us, including a final airport pickup. It was a weird limbo time as flight plans continued to change so we could not stray far from the hotel but fortunately wifi was good and being located close to town meant we could walk to the airline office ourselves to confirm flights. We also discovered that this hotel has the cheapest happy hour drinks and really good food including first class desserts which for Port Vila prices, are very affordable.
Visiting post cyclones Judy & Kevin meant there was still some damage to be repaired, and this was understandable, but there is also some longer term maintenance that has been neglected at the resort so it is looking a bit shabby in places. The pool while clean had black spot mould, the outdoor furniture needs replacement, the shower dripped continually, the sheets were stained and all of the stained timber work on doors etc is faded / peeling. However if we were only staying the one night as intended, then perhaps we would not have noticed. Certainly for the price & location it is great value.

Our kids enjoyed the pool. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was ok
The whole place is very tired looking inc rooms. No atmosphere in the restaurant which is a shame as it’s definitely got potential. We ate dinner next door instead at the outdoor bar/pizza restaurant. It was so good but then it continued to pump out the loudest music ever until 1am. We could not sleep until it stopped 🤯
We won’t be back.

Was close to town with about a 10 minute walk.
They didn't book our taxi to the airport as we requested the day earlier.

room was small

The pool and the view on the harbour are really nice. The room had good shower pressure and the air con worked well which is much needed.
Overall we felt that the photos were very deceiving and probably taken years ago. The hotel is rundown and overpriced for the standard of cleanliness and amenities you get. The room was small and doesn’t have much space to put clothes away so it gets untidy pretty quickly, the bathroom door was so stiff we couldn’t close/open it so absolutely no privacy. The Wifi didn’t work at all. The breakfast included was honestly terrible, full selection of toast and cold pancakes with a few slices of grapefruit, everyday.
We had a harbour view room and even though there was a sign saying not to walk across our decking to keep our privacy, everyone including the staff were using our terrace as a passage, even when we were sat on it we sometimes had to move to let people walk past… the security guy also kept shining his torch through our window multiple times during the night. We had an alright stay but I would not go back there next time we’re in Vanuatu.

Location is convenient to town. 10 minute walk along the waterfront. Unfortunately the area was till cleaning up after the double cyclone, but they had done an amazing job so far.

Could not fault anything, staff were awesome, room was perfect and comfortable, only a quick walk to town but with everything close by you could kick back and relax without having to leave

The location was amazing and the food at the restaurant was amazing. Most of the staff were very friendly. The swimming pool was lovely and the rooms were nice :)
The internet is pretty much down all the time and non exisistant. We also had our flight delayed by vanuatu airlines by 3 days and when i emailed moorings hotel in advance several times to ask them to change the dates they never responded but still charged us for the room. When we arrived there they had no booking for us but fortunately were able to put us in a different room but not with a harbour view which is what we had already been charged for.. We said we wouldnt pay double and fortunately they didn't try to charge us again. Every time we asked to speak to the manager Anita she refused to come and see us, even though we saw her in the back office.

The location is great, very convenient and the staff is very friendly.
The breakfast was a bit boring. We stayed there for 12 days and ate the same thing every day. There were 4 kinds of cereals, bread, pancakes and fruits. The room service staff always forgot to give us new towels, refilled toilet rolls and toiletries. The bed and pillows were not comfortable.
